There is fighting between the armies of Thailand and Cambodia on the border, currently there is a fragile cease fire. The other day the Cambodians ‘captured’ a pigeon with a ring on its leg with the symbol of Thailand on it. The Cambodians seriously accused the Thais of using it to spy on them !
The story was reported in the local English news here comparing the incident with a cartoon picture showing when the people of Hartlepool hung a monkey saying it was a spy.
Who says no one knows about the monkey legend here ?
