There were virtually no borders between us and France when we were in the EU, if you think no illegals came across by ferry or tunnel and that all those coming across by those means of transport were highly skilled, work seeking, tax paying benefits to our society then you must surely believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy.

There might not be shortage of workers in your little enclave Sussex but overall the decrease in immigration to the UK after Brexit has also had an impact on labour supply. In fact, according to research published in January 2024 it has led to a shortage of around 330,000 workers in Britain.
I have asked this question many times, what benefits has the U.K. had since Brexit, it was supposed so we could keep control of our own borders, has it ? come on Sussex tell me the benefits ?
