Anyone on here tried it? Maybe with a club or group?

I'm not on about paddling around in a river for 5 minutes - I'm on about proper swimming where you get into a lake or the sea and spend some time in the water.

I have a 25 yards breast stroke certificate achieved at Dykey skool baths.

Why…I got wet for a living years ago and thought it a pain in the arse….water proofs were never sea water proof.

Felt like it some times. ..however anyone on a Flower Class corvette would need a medal just for stepping down the gang plank …never mind leaving port.

Yup, water is wet. If you go into wild water it’s cold too.

with a lot of nasties living in it having sex and s hitting.

I remember swimming down broken scar on the outskirts of a Darlo as a kid when Jungle and the rest of Hells Angels from the town turned up for a dip..they went in fully clothed .. funny enough you'd never get bothered by older youths down there when they were about.

A mate of mine runs a wild swimming club, usually in rivers or areas with waterfalls. He’s a qualified life guard which is a must for this sort of event, plenty dont bother!
