Sounds like he's off to south shields, can't say I'm surprised at this one, never got over all the injuries so IF he was offered anything it will have been reduced terms no doubt.

He never looked like reclaiming his pre injury form….but in our present circumstances nothing surprises anyone anymore.

One of the last games he played for us, where he got hauled off at half time he was absolutely dreadful. For a few games before that as well it looked like the opposition had him sussed. I reckon his injuries robbed him of his mojo.

If South Shields can offer him better money than Pools it just shows how far we have sunk under Raj.

Maybe its more that they were prepared to pay him more than we were, rather than we can't.

National League to League One for a striker with 6 goals in 41 games last season? Tranmere Rovers sounds more likely.

Sterry and molyneux may have put in. A word about him, he played half last season injured and half knowing he was on his way, be a nominal fee and not big wages so not much of a gamble for Donny

As for Dodds it’s a shame, doesn’t seem right in the head post injury, he’s miles better than NLN though

[quote="loyal_fan"]Sterry and molyneux may have put in. A word about hm... /quote] That sounds like the entire basis of the rumour, that two ex-Hartlepool players are already there.

Agreed, he was way too good for us and we were top of the league when his loan ended. Had the odd dodgy game but exceptional the rest of the time. We were gutted to lose him.
Seems like his injuries have ruined him and that’s a massive shame.

Got to agree LS
Sadly, neither him or Mancini were the same players after they both collected those season ending injuries the year before last.

Both very talented players on their day- but unfortunately we don't have the means to keep players who are only fit for a third of a season

He's way better than this level.
Hes just been dragged down to the now poor acceptable levels of Pools nowadays.

Still young enough n good enough to perform above div 5 then 6 if he stays.
Absolute no brainer to leave this sinking vessel.

if its true that he was dragged down to the level we were then thats a reason why a club would not sign him. they are looking for players to shine in poor sides who have shown promise. always feel he is too irratic a player and you never know which one we,d be seeing in games. either a star performer or really invisable. as for dodds i,d high hopes of him but like a lot of players they never seem to improve but go backwards even if i still think he was rushed back too early.
