Anthony Limbrick

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Anthony Limbrick

To be honest I liked him and think he deserved a crack at next season. This is getting like deja vu though at Pools with half decent managers getting sacked at the worst possible time - year after bloody year. If you look at how much of the team that Limbrick inherited has recently been jettisoned and how mediocre the ragged remains are - I think it's fair to say he did a decent job at an impossible club with a poor/injury riddled squad.

It's typical Raj/Pools though. Our ex-captain is so past it that he's just been signed by Worksop - So let's fire the new manager for underperforming.

Fuck my old boots.

Limbrick had come through the initial ‘rough seas’ of running a team and was grounded in the role….the worst is over for him and these ignorant fools throw everything out the window and start all over again…who would want to come to a club where you’ll never last long ……..except the desperate and gullible.
It’s what he does….. he’s a terrier.

I would've stuck with him as well. He had got to know the players and staff etc, his record was no better or worse than previous managers, and he was young and fresh and came across well when interviewed. Given the current circumstances it would have made sense, but Singh and common sense don't go together. At the end of the day if it didn't work out, we could've just sacked Limbrick in November instead of probably tired and fed up, only here for one final pay day Grayson. Limbrick is looking to make a career in the game, whereas Grayson's is winding down, daft bugger won't realise how quickly it will wind down after failing at Pools, though the compensation will come in handy for him and his agent

I feel sorry for him as well. Grayson won't care about us, Singh is turning the Vic into his next retirement home.

I’m surprised Grayson has taken this job as I would have thought he was too experienced to get mixed up with likes of Singh. Unless he’s heard a whisper that Singh is leaving.

Or it’s that Grayson has had enough of managing and living in Nepal/India after 4 years and knew his chances of a decent role in England were slim after his poor record over the last 10 years but Pools were desperate enough to give him another pay day.

Are you saying he’s not Singh’s signing…?

do not like the way limbrick has bean treat. saying that he was not the ideal manager for us but no worse than many before him and better than a couple. one day the club will have to make a stand with a mr.bang average and stop making experiments that do not come off in the vain hope they,ll find success.

I think Skippy had earned his chance of taking Pools into the new season. Wtf will Grayson know about the NL in 2025? Skippy could surely have remained as a coach and advisor ready to step up to the plate when Grayson goes the way of all managerial flesh at Pools.

graysons only real chance is appointing an assistant with years of experiance at our level to pick his brains. a sensible person would do this but we,ll all have doubts with someone singh employs.

Didn't he say someone would be coming in shortly, and Neil MacDonald has been helping out with coaching so far. I'd be assuming it would be him.
