I am stating the obvious, but the current situation is extremely uncertain and even painful.

The HUST board (which I joined back in Dec-24) have been publicly vocal about the desire of its members for Raj Singh to leave the club and sell to an appropriate buyer. With the recent, public announcement from Herd Group there is a credible party willing to take Pools forward.

If anyone has an interest in joining the HUST please use the following link: -

https://www.hufcsupporterstrust.org.uk/ ... membership

There is no requirement to join other than being a fan of HUFC, or even having an interest in the security and future of the football club. The membership list isn't publicly shared with anyone. After joining there isn't any requirement to do anything else.

On the flip side, if people want to find out more, ask questions, or get involved then that is absolutely welcome too.

I know there are current HUST members, former members and former board members on this forum. Whatever your situation, if you think it is time for a change, please sign up as this certainly helps demonstrate support for change to new ownership, in a non-invasive way.

I think HUST should have had a Poll of their members. RE You know who.

HUST covered that in their latest newsletter on Saturday:

'Finally, Mr Singh asked HUST questions about democracy. One of our members already commented on this on social media and we can’t improve on what he said: “For the avoidance of doubt. HUST members elect their board and HUST has a clearly written constitution to govern the society. Given Raj appointed a ’fans rep’ without the actual involvement of fans, it’s perhaps unsurprising that he doesn’t understand democracy.”'

I think GH means a poll of whether members want Raj to stay or go. There would be no point running it on the same questions as Raj, because there was no real choice. You'd have thought if an option was 'Raj to fund the club he owns until he sells as quickly as possible', that would get 100% of the vote.

On HUST though, I think they've turned things around from a few years ago. I never really had much of an opinion about the trust, although certainly not a negative view as such but I signed up when the consortium has mooted. I think they've actually done a good job standing up to Raj and voicing the frustrations of fans. I've read loads of comments recently about the growing debt to Raj and to be fair to the trust, they've made this point for a long time.
They also used to get a lot of visible stick online but from the outside that seems to have died down. It seems pushback against HUST is primarily down to a few individuals not getting on, rather than the principle of having a trust at Pools. (Granted some will just be dead against any kind of trust for whatever reason.)
I've really bought into the idea now though and think every club should have a means of electing some fans to represent them, however imperfect that is. I think the whole fan representative being appointed by the owner has shown exactly how not to do it.

not overkeen on things like the trust as it could lead to some feeling super fan status. however i have signed up and the more that do will make there position much stronger especially of at least 63% of the average number of fans join up. more thn one can play the percentage game.

I have been a trust member for several years and feel it is the one way if the fans unite under one group instead of all these splinter groups we will then be stronger against a tyrannical owner doing as he please and ripping us all off.

agree. if anybody dislikes how the trust is being run then try to do something about it. far better than wasting time on setting up splinter groups to weaken the fans voices.
