Unbelievable that the worst two teams in PL (except those relegated) manage to end up in the Europa final next Wednesday.
I predict a crap boring game with Man U winning 2 nil with goals from Slab Head and Bum Face.

Hopefully a member of the government (and entourage) will be flying out to attend (at the tax payers expense). Then getting a taxi back.

apart from the freeloaders it always surprises me eapecially in the present climate the number of fans who can make it for the match. know quite well i for one could not afford to watch pools abroad and even a wembley trip would be astruggle. is there actually more spare cash floating around in this country than we realise.

Exactly that Accrington, there's a huge amount of money floating about but it doesn't drift down to those who need it. Greed has been at the top of the country since Maggie was in power.

People are certainly giving the impression that they have loads of moolah these days.

My guess is that most of this spare cash is on the chucky, and what they actually have is loads of debt that they'll never pay off as long as there's a hole in their arses.

A family member of mine has all sorts of expensive crap, and gives out lavish presents at Christmas and on people's birthdays. I don't know her earnings, but I do know the sector she works in doesn't pay anything like the amount she is spending.

I tried to tactfully (not my strong point) suggest that she should perhaps cut her cloth accordingly when she announced she had signed up for the services of a "personal trainer" who is also a "life coach" - whatever the fuck that is.???

She told me to fuck off via a text.

From her iPhone 16...

Telling someone to fuck off via a text message is very poor in my opinion.
In order to give the message "gravity" I would suggest a hand written letter sent1st class.

Shame that they both can't lose but although Manure are shite (pardon the pun) Spurs are even worse so I would expect Manure to actually win a trophy this season - one more than Citeh.

My thoughts exactly SJ
It is a piss take that the winner qualifies for the Champions league - neither are the best team in their own city! By all means reward the winner- but surely the prize should be the opportunity to defend their crown, in the SAME competition! refred

It looks like the fans are being ripped off for accomodation in Bilbao. One guy on the news this morning said that his hotel room rate was £76 but tonight it is over two grand.

Some are staying in Santander as it is cheaper. A mate of mine lives there and he has sent a photo of them getting pissed up in the main square.
Brits abroad

heard one saying he has spent £4,000 already. Crazy for a game of football, but guess you have to have it to spend it. just shows i think the big difference between premier league fans and those at our level and most of league 1 and 2.

Wonder when the plastic chairs will start to be launched, it’s part of football when fans go abroad sometimes.

The Police will cause any trouble.
A lot like the Liverpool fans getting battered in Paris.

What do we reckon the outcome of the game will be tonight?

I'm going for Spurs to win on Spot Kicks after a 0-0 bore fest.

75 arrests for drunk and disorderly.

I also think that when BOTH finalists are from the same country, the final venue should be changed to the national stadium- as having fans venture to Bilbao for a game that could be played at Wembley is ludicrous.

I think they both lost.
It was an appalling game with two poor sides.
The PL is a disgrace.

Spurs fan on TV this morning cribbing about having to wait 17 years to win a trophy, lightweight, wants to try our 117 year wait to win one.

Wash your mouth, we have won several Durham Senior Cups in my time, one I recall was won at a 'packed' Feethams. Plus we also won the NL promotion Play-off Cup under Super Dave Challinor. There are probably old timers who can remember such heady times lol.

It wasn’t that bad a game, always nice seeing Man Utd lose and hopefully now implode due to the finances they miss out on. Considering they were one of the “European super league” advocates, it’s nice to see them on the bones of their arse.

if somehow that league got the go ahead and started next season they,d get a place in it somehow even if the likes of brentford and bournemouth finished well above them in the league. what was the old saying, there is no show without punch.

i like watching football at any level but have not watched a full game where two premier league sides are playing or match of the day for years. about as interesting as reading the financial times is for the unemployed looking for a job.

its an idea that will never go away. quicker the better for me as you might then see the top division a bit more competative and less of a certainty as it now is.

Good point. That proposed league was such a stitch up. "We're good because we say we are" - Wallowing in money and waving at the suckers stranded below!
