This will not please Milliband, Danish company Orsted said it’s too expensive, why aren’t the U.K. building our own wind farms ? A huge new facility is currently under construction at the old steelworks to fabricate the monopiles hopefully they didn’t have any contracts with Orsted.

Piece of piss to solve our energy needs.

Simply install some sort of generator that runs off hot air in the House of Parliament..!

Water mills on riverbanks were another "ye olde" power-generating device back in the day. Hammy Hamster probably got free electric by fitting a dynamo to one.

I've always want to knock on the door of that converted windmill near the A19 at Easington, and ask for a look round - but fear that the reply would be "You look round to me fatty" as the door was slammed in my face.

You must waste a lot money getting carpets fitted when deciding to live in a windmill. I bet Bernard Povey never bought one...

The thing about wind farms is first you have to build them.
Those windmills ain’t cheap.
Next you have to transport them out into the North Sea and install them.
Then you have to lay cables under the sea and build substations, the bill is rising.
When that’s done you need cables to distribute the power to where it’s needed, £kerching$€…. sadx
None the parts are made on this country :angry-tappingfoot:
And then the wind decides to have a couple of days off

…and they’re not recyclable. banghead

When it suits them, yet it really is 100% reliable, the ebb and flow of the tide is continuous.
