Told by whom? Sorry but we've had a bellyfull of non-substantiated rumours and falsehoods during the last eight weeks.

Didn't the club say they were going to fix some drainage issues or something in the supporters panel meeting held a few months back? I believe that was in the minutes released by HUST, whatever happened to the rest of the minutes from the meeting is a mystery...

Go back to the 70s, were pitches relaid or just reseeded, nowadays some are actually relaid during the season. It did not stop the skills of the many skilful players, by the end of season most were basically ‘grass less’ , Old Trafford being one of the worst.

If anyone was still in doubt, I guess this rules out the imminent arrival of megabucks international owners.

Do you remember Derby County’s Baseball Ground in the 70s - there was hardly any grass on it! It didn’t stop Cloughie and Taylor winning the league though…

mudbaths in the winter and bone hard at the end. players might not be that keen to dive and roll about on pitches like that if they get the slightest of knocks.

All pitches are the same for both teams.

they are nowadays, but in the past they certainly helped the team who played on it regularly. there once seemed a much bigger gap for some teams with the points they gained at home to the ones picked up away but that gap with todays pitches has closed.
