That’s the problem…we’re in a news vacuum yet we’re supposed to sit on on our hands and await developments…bollocks, it’s the fans football club the rest are all just passing through and sail into their sunset…..it’s our future they’re playing with.

Excellent from Colchester. The weird thing is Pools could have put out something similar and Raj could have used it to get some positive press for a change. He could have said he took the club on when we were in trouble and left the club in a better place but that he'd taken it as far as he could. I think most reasonable fans would have had some respect for that. Instead he's chosen to leave the whole takeover very late, possible already hampered next season and deliberately chosen to worry fans. Roll on better days where owners might even communicate a bit!

Last year there was a few leakages of info.

You can slag Singh of as much as you like but at the end of the day Pools might not have existed if he hadn’t taken over. Ok he has made some really bad decisions but at least we still have a club in the town.

Even if we had listened to the sad loids what could we possibly have done? It's an urban myth blown out of all proportion. To keep repeating what could, should or might have happened is absolutely pointless

As you say at least we have a club in the town, a ground, half of a decent squad and hopefully new owners who have rather more ambition than Mr Singh. Conversely the loids have nowt, no ground, no real hope of returning to the EFL, just the scrap remains of the Tinshed - and almost twenty years of lost bragging rights.

Ive moved on from the falsehope stage and at the what will be will be stage.

25th March 2001 last time we lost to the loids in the league (Thanks Mad John) a mere 24 years ago. Would mean that you have to be in your early 30's to properly remember such a dark day!

We ain't won much other than the Play offs a couple of years ago and the odd Durham Cup. However we do Possess the most coveted trophy in North East football - the mighty Comcast Cup which is held by the the winners of Pools v loids, since the mid/ late nineties. Think it's likely to be ours for the foreseeable!

To see both clubs back in the EFL would be fantastic but unlikely for a long time.

Did the leaks last year annoy Raj to the extent that he stopped the negotiations? If so, then 'silence' could be a sign that two 'mature' parties are working on something - and, frustrating as it is, that is better than children running around with leaks. OK, maybe I'm deluded - but I really hope that talks are ongoing under appropriate confidentiality agreements and we'll all be told if/ when a deal is done. But aye, credit to Colchester.

big difference is that colchester have something concrete to tell the fans. as far as we know we have not.

I might be wrong but if any big organisations were interested in buying Pools they would be advertising the fact for the publicity.

Considering that he's a few months older than me, he really should've grown out of that by now.

There's nothing much that any of us can do, no matter who the chairman is.

But those "sad loids" told us what to expect of the current one, and yet even now we seem to think this particular leopard has managed to change the colour of his spots. Not the case at all. While he has possibly mellowed a little since Darlo, he is still the same beast.

I agree there's no point in the repetition you refer to, but people seem to like doing it regardless of it serving no useful purpose whatsoever.

The difference between us and Darlo is that they were in and out of administration for a period of years prior to and including during his ownership. We haven't been there, and hopefully we won't go there either.

It was George's Echo Chamber that did for them. Sooner or later they were going to go pop, as nobody was prepared to cover the running costs of that folly, long term. Not something we have to worry about, which should make us, all the more saleable, than the loids would have been back then.
