Had the radio on in my bunker after tea sorting out tools and on the radio BBC4 extra, was a visit to the club and it cost me some money throwing things at the radio.
Even the players have to eat vegan food when eating in the club and prepared by the club’s chef…..the pitch is fertilised with seaweed as it involves using animal by products….the fans sounded a bit ….wet …..and the Dear Chairman certainly suffers no discussions on the subject, his way or the Highway.
Some light relief from Southend fans giving the Chairman their colourful opinion.
Sounded to me like an advertisement for his own beliefs..and everybody else had to play along.

NB….
Small set squares do not fly like Boomerangs when you throw them :angry-tappingfoot:

Can you imagine the reaction if pools was taken over by an owner like that.
Maybe our saviour post Raj may be "Trans"?

his ilk are all the same and have always been like that especially if your wealth is affected by it. they expect you to respect there views as we see everywhere you go with the vegan option. very much doubt they have a non vegan option for those who have a different taste and point of view. the only thing that surprises me is that FGR are not the countries most hated club as its the most politically run one.

The players also have to live in a forest, and tow their caravans there in green Rovers.

FACT...!!!!

An aside…if vegans hate meat products or by products, why do they dress it up as meat…..he was talking about his pasties, pies, sausage rolls etc but these are foods generally associated with meat……haven’t they got the imagination to serve it up in an original stylle of their own……it’s a bit like a devout monk who dresses up as a Nazi…..you’re in the wrong clothing, find something more appropriate to suit your situation.

like the vegans and veggies will do when something else becomes the new thing to do. funny how that crowd love to make it known about there way of life but us meat eaters just carry on as they do and not bore others with there choices.

Good point Mr A…they drone on and on about what we should eat ….but do we go on at them and their choices…? No, because we don’t care.
Tolerance is a virtue they appear short on.

Same experience for me. In fact my missus is veggie and bizarrely excellent at cooking meat dishes. Probably because she doesn't overcook everything as she's not eating it, so not arsed about food poisoning!

Ive really cut down on meat amongst others things this year due to going through packets of Rennies every week. Completely sorted me out, so not all bad.

On FG's owner, he's only the same as every owner who could walk away when he gets bored. Would have him over Raj any day (and then go to Morrisons for a pre-match pie!)

I refer you too my previous reply to Frisco Mutley
I really wouldn’t undercook meat, I nuke mine.
Raj has is faults as we all know, but he has yet to nag me about what to eat…or his demise would have occurred much earlier.

If FGR was near the coast then I get the use of seaweed but they're not so the guy cares more about animals than the amount of energy needed to process and transport his "animal friendly" fertiliser. Think of the poor invertebrates who lost their home when the seaweed was harvested!

next thing they,ll introduce a vegan option at an extra cost for things vegans and the rest eat. like all that supposed organic and free range stuff nobody has a clue whether it is or not but costs more.

they do not tell you what you eat but are quick to tell you what they are and tend to look down at you from there lofty high ground. we do not bore them the other way though. One thing that would stop me entering the vic would be an owner whose life is geared to climate change and what goes with it and that would be one step too far no matter how good they were at making pools a success.
