Brilliant interview with Reyes on Radio Tees.

What a nice lad. Hope he has the career he deserves. Look forward to re-signing him when Pools are back in League 1.

Can't fault the kid, 100% effort every game, amazing wingplay and so consistent, spent ages signing shirts and doing photos for the kids too after the game. Said he's got his meeting with West Brom this week which will define the next stage of his career. He'll have a decent career in football for sure.

Can't see him being at NL level regardless of if West Brom keep him or let him go. Unfortunately.

And while we should be signing players with his attitude we’re just wasting time as uncertainty strikes again.

Ditto.
He needs to meet a nice Hartlepool girl and settle down on the Fens Estate in Brian Cloughs old house. :-D

we might have only got him as he failed at walsall. next season will be a big season for him and his career. he,ll obviously get another loan to a league club but if he fails again he could easily be back with us next january. thats if we are sorted out back then. know quite well we are national league but if we could match a league 2 wage then he,d be better off with us as he seems to love the place as we love him.

He was like a cup of cold water in a sea of warm pish.

I wish the lad all the very best and hope he goes on to have a long and successful career.

Would love him to have another loan spell with us mind……

Good player with a promising career ahead of him. At that age it can go either way though, one wrong move, a period of poor self discipline etc and could easily end up plumbing the depths, for instance like Tyler Burey, now playing in Bosnia.

yes. at that age he can be turned by the hangers on and so called mates like i,d guess many others of his age have. even the sunday league is full of ex acadamy lads those on the books of teams who had the skill but fell by the wayside big style.

According to Birmingham press he's likely to have his 1 year option exercised and he'll likely be out on loan for the full season.

going to be a big season for him as its bound to be at least a division 2 league club where he goes to. another failure by him could see him back at the vic if we can outbid tamwoth fo his signing.

Agree, big season for him and should certainly be at a higher level - can he make himself a regular in a div 2 side to really push on with his development? He had a couple of difficult games for us when he was up against decent full backs but he got his head down and kept playing his game which shows a great attitude. He also may just have found his best position is wide left just now whereas he has been tried through the middle elsewhere.
I hope we don't see him in a Pools shirt again as that will likely mean he's failed.

would love to see him in a pools shirt again but only if we become a new stockport, notts county or chesterfield who signed players too good for this league to start off there success.

doubt it will happen but can see him being loaned out again by them but not to us i,m afraid. could not take it if he went to another national league club though.

The lad has jut proven his worth in the NL, surely a decent L2 outfit would represent the next step?

He needs to go somewhere he'll be playing regularly not bench warming with 15 min cameos. Will an efl side give that commitment and take a punt, if not we could see him back here.

it certainly did him no harm coming to us and should give him some confidence at least at a league 2 club. just needs the right one to go to that the manager uses correctly and gives him the chance.
