I was basically implying that he wasn't given enough time at Pools, which he wasn't, like many before and since him, and that is down to one person and one person only, Raj Singh, not that I'm saying Askey would've worked out if he had been given time, because I don't think he would have, I doubt any manager would bring success at Pools at the moment, but the type of manager that would, Singh could not attract, would not pay, and that type of manager would probably be too clued up and savvy to want to come here anyway, so just like the players we sign, we tend to also get managers who are desperate for a job. Once given the job though, they should be given a reasonable amount of time to prove they can turn things around.
