they can get nasty if you argue with them as my mother found out and had to set the dog on them to get rid. she found it funny as they can do 25 yards in olympic time. the dog was an athiest rottweiler who always had a piss on any church wall he could find.

I have worked for two small companies who were owned (or part-owned) by Jehovah's, and piss-taking apart, I have never been treated better by any other employers in my entire career.

At the second one, I did note that most of the salesmen were also witnesses, and I asked the boss why this was the case.

"Simple," he replied. "They have been knocking on doors and being told to fuck off since they were children, so they don't get stressed by rejection as it's water off a duck's back."

Even I couldn't think of a piss-taking reply to that one...

to be fair to the majority its all they really deserve as they are not good enough and those who are who have not put the effort in should pay for their release out of the money stolen from the club like the french sicknote.

They won,t, Contracts usually run to end of june. If RS stops paying out come last match (as some are stating) then he will be in breach of contract on many levels.

Think we've unfortunately seen the last of him.
Think the rest will bail out too on Monday May 12th (my B'day as it happens) a week after the final game, should NO apparent progress be made on the sale of the club. banghead

he will limp out of the club when his contract is up rather than being kicked out of it by some hairy arsed defender as i thought would be the case. when he goes officially lets remember in unavailability rather than just a few games where he looked unplayable.

We’d have got more out of Douglas Bader..
Genius without consistency is like some Italian sports cars…they give you a thrill, but spent most of the time up over the inspection pit.

if we get a new owner its a no brainer to offer him a new contract--more likely than not he will be injured but the small chance we get 25-30 games out of him next year makes up for that

Can't fault his skill levels.
But his sick notes especially for his age are an absolute disgrace. Would of been sacked in any other employment.

Can't see his agent mugging anutha club.
Accy Stanley binned him for free for a reason.

Got to go.

A new regime of no risk to crocks.

Got to take into account that at times even when fit this season the manager has not picked him for the starting 11. His restricted appearances this year are down to idiot managers not picking him as well as injury.
Comparing him to Luke Williams is unfair, Williams played a handful of games in 3 seasons or so, and didn't have anywhere near the impact Mancini has when he does play. If we don't keep him I've no doubt that someone possibly div 2 or even 1 will take a chance on him.

Not really been missed since Cleary came. Don't rate Mancini the much anyway, okay fancy skills and a matchwinner etc, but gave the ball away a lot as well, leading to goals being conceded or put under pressure.

Its another Cleary Pools need to unearth, not keeping players who blow hot and cold and only start 15 games a season

and those starts would be in a good season. feel he has no heart in the game either on the pitch or attempting to get back to fitness. again skill and ability are given to the wrong people and not fans who would run through a brick wall for there club and never refuse a contract if another club offered em a tenner a week more.

To be fair he came back earlier than expected after what could have been a career threatening injury. I reckon he's definitely one that needs an arm around his shoulder and constant approval and encouragement rather than the cold shoulder that our managers appear to have shown him. A Gazza for the lower leagues imo.

if we had a manager who could micro manage every single player and bring success to the club our only worry would be them leaving. fine to give him some special treatment but it should be the same for the lad busting his gut to get back out on the pitch and give 100% in games and play thriugh the pain barrier.

Gazza earned a reputation, that meant club after club took a chance on him, even though he was past it and not up to the rigours of the game, Mancini hasn't earned a reputation.

I was always suspicious of why someone reportedly as good as Mancini ended up at Pools, I now know why, injury prone and probably not much of a backbone.

I wouldn't say without a backbone...just has a serious injury. The lad would love to play football (who wouldn't for a living)...just something injury wise which Pools haven't disclosed.
Pools have took a punt on him and it hasn't worked. I feel for the lad. sadx
BTW....a lass took a punt on my face once...chucked her straight after like!!! sadx

Yet nobody was complaining about signing him before Chesterfield last season, similarly Dodds, both good players when we signed them and both got bad injuries in matches, you can't fault the player or the club for that.

not too sure about it as it could be a combination of both and the clubs policy to get them through those injuries both physically and mentally. surely they are not other players at other clubs who have had long term injuries and came back as good as new.

Mancini is like the curates egg…good in parts, but the sum total finds him wanting overall.
Several brilliant flashes that stick in the memory are a poor return for his overall performance on the field….we got a Lamborghini when we needed a Land Rover, some thing always available and can do the job we need, not cameo appearances in bursts.
At the end of the day, a manager needs reliable, capable players in all positions who can do their job, we are not a re hab for sporadic performers who need their ego’s massaging or a cuddle.
Taking a chance at this level is a luxury.
We need to get a team together with a work ethos.
