For over 20 years I have parked my car in the same place on the Mill House side of the ground without any problems, on Bank Holiday Monday I left the ground to find that not only mine but dozens of other cars had a yellow parking fine attached to our windscreens. Thinking that they had made a mistake with my car as I already had the RinGo app and made an online 3-hour payment at least an hour before the ticket was issued, I contacted Hartlepool council the next day with proof of payment, today I received a message from a nameless person saying that they still required a minimum of £35 as I had parked in an area that was for permit holders only and that I should have read the information on the machine and signs attached to a post.
My argument is that I already had the app so did not need to go to the machine and when was this area designated permit holders only.

No……the wardens used to appear soon after kick off to reap the harvest at Mill House.
