Noticed Foreign teams have been doing a lot of this lately, some club in the Champions League, visiting London recently turned up at a Wimbledon game.

Its a good thing, and I've also noticed a lot of English football fans travelling to away games, rocking up at social clubs of non league clubs, in order to help them out financially, and for them, a hassle free drink out of the way of the police etc. Obviously these things are pre-arranged, as most non league social clubs would not be open when there wasn't a game on.

Both these things are great ideas, and have in some small way been happening for years. I'm sure Pools will be onto it in a flash LOL! given that they can't even be arsed to organise transport to away games for fans.

I'm sure those that do organise transport to away games, will give it some thought though. You never know when you might need a favour doing in return.

and people keep telling me the whole nation is on its uppers. still feel the whole thing was brought on by covid restrictions where we missed live games for over a year and the novelty will eventually wear off and we will take less away to the level of a few years back.

The nation is on its uppers, but there are still plenty who appear to be doing okay, especially those living in cities, its almost like a two tier UK now, those who live in cities and the rest of us. One thing this foreign away support shows, is that countries on the continent are doing better economically than they ever were, or maybe they are just living on debt, like many did in the UK between the late 90s up until Covid. I reckon an economic castastrophe is just around the corner, and the UK will be in the worst position in Europe, to withstand it, we'll have to see how it pans out.

I would also add to my original post, stopping off at random pubs on the way to away games would be a good idea, give them a weeks takings in a couple of hours, to help them out.
