And only 8 months into a 2 year agreement as well.
The club is not doing itself any good out of this.
New owner will hopefully restore the link to the college.

Respect to the College for that statement - brutally frank.

And respect to Mr Rules for this great thread title.....it, too, is brutally frank and correct.

Again, a very big decision seemingly made by a club whose owner reckons he is walking away in a couple of weeks' time.

Somebody is looking to the future... Just wondering if this 'training provider' in Sunderland might be linked in some way to the new ownership? Or, Raj's May 'deadline' is about to be superceded by a stay of execution?

we cannot keep up with the mighty guiseley who are doing the same with an agreement with the local shipley college.there is certainly a lot of early work for the new owner and board when the takeover happens to just reversing the trend before it moves us forward if possible.

I doubt this is a new ownership thing. Why would you look at moving the academy (which didn't need looking at due to the fact we are 'under contract' with the college) as the first thing you do instead of sorting out player + staff contracts, budgets, sponsorship etc.? Once again the club has given itself some bad press when it didn't need to.

one word and that is PATHETIC that sums up Raj's reign yes he saved us and has given us a long drawn out existence since, while lining his own pockets.

wasn,t there a book or something titled how to win friends and influence people. pools should do one the opposite. might not mean much if your only interest in the club is the match but i,m sure that decision could be the last straw for somebody connected in some way to the college where the club is concerned.

'How to lose fans and alienate sponsors - Raj Singh and HUFC'
I think most of the people running the college are Pools fans so this must feel like a slap in the face. Completely understand moving providers at the end of the contract term if the offer is better for the club but what happened to 'The Town's club'...

cue bullshit with many words used that more or less say nothing and a bit of business jargon inserted in the piece to keep us disinterested.

Statement from the 'Interim Board' now saying that although there are offers that have been accepted, no takeover will happen before the end of the season and RS will still be walking away, but urging us all to buy our season tickets, which go on sale tomorrow, to 'support' the Club.

No funding after the last game, takeover will take place after the season is over possibly.

So who is buying a season ticket before the takeover? Money will be ringfenced for running the club after the last game.

And what happens if there is not enough season ticket money to run the club after the last game?

Don't the players need paying up to end of June.

Onus put on the fans from that statement in my opinion!

Surely any Poolie with a modicum of the good old fashioned grey stuff would want to hear a similar statement from the prospective new owners before jumping into the deep end feet first?

Yep, he has done this on purpose, he knew all along he wouldn't get a takeover done in the time he allocated. Must think we are all stupid, I can't express how much I despise him!

If we have more than one potential takeover party, is that not going to slow things down anyway.
The interim board have a choice of who they pick!
And what happens to the interim board? Told to pack their bags by the new owner!

The interim board said the season ticket money would be ringfenced Mutley.
So that should mean, Raj does not get a penny!

We would need to see the terms of the 2 year deal, notice period etc but I agree not a nice thing to do by Raj and/or the interim board. And if new owners are on the horizon why make business decisions, why not leave everything as is and let the new owners decide.

They will obviously do what's best for themselves.
Any board with LL on it is detriment to that.

Believeing anything this chairman /board says is a bit like believing Starmer.

Looks like we well n truly fcuked. :angry-tappingfoot:

Just my take.
Reckon Sing holding out for a 10 year pay back installments.
It Dosent seem as good as last years debacle takeover.

I've ruled out an Arabian or American debt free takeover

Yes and Raj walks away after the last match with no more of his money injected into the club until we have new owners.
Mass exodus of players could be on the cards and I wouldn't blame them!

I’m getting a bit wary of just who may be ‘taking over’.
Possibly some gormless Viz style character ‘ Gullible Gary- he believes owt!’ will cough up for a season ticket…..but they deserve to be disappointed if they do.

They do Kevin, Unless you are on a longer deal.
Then the solicitors get involved, And i believe any player, If not payed can tear up his contract and leave.
