1-0 to Pools with a late substitution bringing on the Pope just to piss off Justin Welby.

4-0 We are flying with confidence now another good entertaining slaughter on the offering. I don’t expect Ebbsfleet to cross the centre circle very much at all. We will score within 15 minutes ( its game over then ) a couple up at half time and they will not be able to attack like Boston did they simply are not good enough. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if we got a bag full tomorrow. Yes we have only won the last two but you can see the "dusty old train" is starting to move and gain speed. Its been cleaned and polished and has a new driver upfront is starting to move at last and they will be no stopping it after we beat this lot. Just a real shame Mr.Burns didnt piss off upstairs a few games earlier when it was clear he was struggling and not getting anymore from players or tactics. Smithers gets full credit for me like because when he took over he mixed things up players and tactics to produce a way forward and find wins and entertainment from a group lacking direction and confidence. He is young for a manager and will make mistakes like playing Campbell for to many games before dropping him to the bench but as long as he learns from that the sky is the limit for him if he keeps improving with his team. He may not turn out to be the answer and the wheels could very easily fall off like always at this cursed club, but for me he looks confident talks well got the team organised and plays entertaining attacking football that is now producing wins. I honestly am struggling to think of a past manager if any who played open attacking football. sctatchinghead Its is a very risky way to play in any league but if he gets the overall balance right we could well become the entertainers next season instead of this crap of sitting back on a one goal lead. banghead If if if he can do this well imagine the entertainment we could all enjoy along with full houses every week from high scoring games. I have always believed a 4-3 win trumps a 1-0 win and a 4-3 defeat is entertaining for supporters as opposed to 1-0 defeat. We are not Man City Or Liverpool but look at that young Sunderland team ...It can happen trust me. Before you jump on the Halifax game please take into consideration the bloody farmers field it got played on. Also look at the previous 4 games when we should have won at least 3 from 4 with the amount of chances we created but missed nearly all with some so easy Mutley's dog Jess could have scored them.

Agree with that. Here's hoping he's found a way to make them win. Of course we then lose the players and start again.

Yes thats very true Poolie27 but a good manager with decent backing will produce the goods. We need to wait and see who if anyone takes over.

That's bleak isn't it? We need ownership sorted asap or any good work now is ruined.

You couldn't blame the players for looking for security elsewhere!

A lot to do IF we get new owners.

And the deal with Errea has come to an end.

Inconsistency has been the theme for Pools this season so is a third win on the bounce really on the cards?
I fear that we will drop 2 or 3 points to the poorest team in the league.

Tom Parkes is contracted for next season. Robbie Stelling said some players have options, I imagine/hope Sass-Davies and Sheron are among them but otherwise accurate.
Very frustrating because if we had the starting 11 from the last few weeks under contract for next season and added some better back ups we could be looking at a good season.

Agree Poolie27 its got to happen very soon otherwise we could end up going through pre- season unable to rebuild at all. But it seems Raj enjoys this most pre- seasons.

Pools to win by 3 goals--will be high watermark of the season

NOT that this situation is anything like it but back in 2002 Pools were 7 points off playoffs with 4 to go and we made it......

In reality here we are looking at mid-table--still nowhere near good enough in midfield or at the back IMO

Interesting Loyal that we were 7 points away with only 4 games left and made it. Well this time on paper we have a slightly better chance then. Because we are 8 points behind with 6 games left.

A great chance of cashing in on that once a season opportunity to go NAP and thump the opposition 5-0 or 5-1 etc.

Unfortunately this is Pools, so I'm going

2-2

1-0 half time but not convincing

Midfield exposed with Grey as high as he is and not helping much, Stephenson a work in progress but shouldnt be a regular starter.
Madine poor today so far as well

Ebbsfleet far from the worst side I have seen this season in fairness

Would agree about Stephenson. Mani and Madine also not too convincing. Madine strolls round like it’s a training game and never uses his large frame whilst Mani is just of the pace. If wasn’t for Cleary we would have nothing upfront. Grey also not in the game . Need a second goal but we are far from convincing

Cleary this lad is totally unplayable the real deal . Sort of player who in a full season at this level would probably score 30 plus and thats from a winger. Different gravy every week and just starting off in mens football. I think thats 5 goals now and 3 in 3 sctatchinghead Not a scooby do of keeping him full time but maybe another loan for a full season.
