Surely this privileged tw*t must be in breach of some laws over his inaction on child abuse within the C of E?
He says he couldn't handle it so did nowt, then why didn't he take everything he knew to the police at the time? Astonishingly he also claims he'd forgive the abusers, my word what about more compassion for the victims some of whom had their lives changed for ever, and in some cases cut short as a direct result?

New laws on the way to prosecute people who fail to report child abuse, too late in this case though which is a shame.

this is where the god botheres have always fell down. they forgive anything bad but ignore the ones who have suffered. as top of any organisation its there job to know and investigate wrong doing to make it right. he,ll slip away i,d guess without any punishment unlike someone involved in a non religeous organisation would not.

Bit late for excuses….try a dose of humility for starters…… then disappear for ever.

I agree they seem to be "above" the law. God should face charges.

All this God religion should be banned.

And the UK should celebrate nature and the seasons instead.

Spring Equinox.
May Day.
Summer Solstice.
Harvest.
Autumn Equinox
Yule.

the above being examples for various times of the year.

No need to tempt people with heaven and paradises full of virgins, or scare tactics with hell and infidels.
Ban the whole lot of it!

I've 2 neighbours who go to Church every Sunday, you couldn't ask for more snobby and pretentious people if you tried.
Awful human beings!

totally spot on there on everything. remember my old man saying when they were dressed in their fine clothes that they were off to pay up there subscriptions for the after life. if it was only tempting people it would not be that bad, but some of the do gooding 19th century owners of businesses insisted on it with the fear of loss of work and the house they lived in.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all…why can’t they just disappear completely from public life….?

See Welby is refusing to move out of his church funded palace.

Heard one of Trump's chums call someone an Arse Helmet the other day - don't know what it means but I quite like the sound of 'Welby is an utter arse helmet".
