Also some parents arrested for posting negative comments about a school. Banged up n questioned for 6 hours.

I have a polite question for the members who believe freedom of speech is alive and well in the U.K. My question is if you have looked at the link above has your opinion changed or do you still believe free speech is alive and well in the U.K. sctatchinghead I ask politely to avoid arguments so please only reply if you are genuinely giving a honest opinion. Thank you.

It’s scary how under this Government we find ourselves being gagged for the most harmless of comments.
Dunno about Putin having a police state, when you think before you speak, you are actually living in a police state.

Don't forget there were bans at Pools for people who criticised Ken Jong Hodcroft.

what i found even worse was the number of police cars and officers that seemed to be needed to arrest someone for what i class as a minor offence. more like a drugs raid and by the time the local gossips have finished they,ll make it out to be more than what it was. just another thing that seemed to start in the covid era where if anyone dares to criticise those in power and certain elemants of society need to be very careful indeed. however if you get your facts totally correct by doing some research then there is little that anyone should fear. what next in football. clubs issuing what fans can and cannot say at games and on social media and the bunker in the hands of the club moderaters.

It wasn’t even an offence.

then you can tell as many lies as you can with misinformation as long as it follows the present government agenda without any fear whatsoever.
