I'm back lads from a few days away.

Yes Cheltenham was a great 4 days, managed 9 winners from 25 bets and a nice tidy profit of almost 1.1k.
However the fact that I was down 12k when I started March and I am now down just 5.5k, means there is a lot of patience and had work required to get back on track. But I will do it!

And while I was away, the chairman of Pools steps down! A lot of people were asking for this to happen and their wish is almost true.

I have a fair few things to say on this matter but I have other things to do over the next few days which are more pressing but I will mention a few points:

The fact that the fans and their different groups are not on good terms does not bode well.
With this interim board supposedly in charge, and possible negotiations with new owners forthcoming, where does that leave them?
I'm not a fan of chairmen setting up companies that loan monies to football clubs and then appear to want it all back!
I said in the past it would be lovely to have a supporters owned club and everything is democratically done, and I stand by that.
Whether that is one of paying back the debt (SAGE debt payback already agreed by current owner) or starting lower down in the pyramid (debt free) those options need to be explored.

It is a crying shame that when Pools won back their league position, things were never further strengthened.
We had a good manager, who clearly saw what was happening to Pools and got out.
What has happened since has been a steady decline of HUFC.
If the right choices are not made in the coming few months, I really fear for the club.

Everyone needs to club together and hope that the next chapter in our long history is a turning point and a good one at that.

Not saying that everything, or indeed anything is rosy in the garden, but Challinor left purely for more money not because of the state of the club. Rumours at the time were that Stockport tripled his wage, and he left his club prior to Fylde after they poached him from his previous club (might have been Colwyn Bay)?
Do agree the divisions around the club and various fan groups isn't a good look, and may sway potential investors? Maybe Trump can spare a bit of time to sort it out once he's finished sorting the Ukraine war out?
