Scary but not surprising, I don’t think Skippy can talk his way out of that. Interesting to see the mighty Heed in mid-table and the even mightier Vegan Boys FGR in the bottom half.

Our season won’t be defined by how we do away to Eastleigh etc…

Despite having fookall back in the 70s 80s we never got embarrassed by the club. But now for the first time in all my years of following Pools I am embarrassed . rakxe

They won’t win them all though we will pick up enough to survive by default..next year though we are fucked which for a club of our relative size is an utter disgrace !

big thing though was fans expectations then where we got what we expected back in august. now the club and our minds are built up to get dashed on the rocks. think the bunker would have looked and sounded different back then.

There is something desperately wrong at the club.

There has been since IOR sold the club, they weren’t perfect but the club was on a solid footing then.

I'm sure it happens to other clubs, but seems to happens to Pools more. In all the years I followed Pools, there have been many total collapses after Christmas. Most of the decent games I remember, apart from promotions, (though even they culminated in collapses of sorts, that stopped us getting that elusive first league title ) happened prior to Christmas, with the majority of the games in the second half of the season being unforgettable.

think all that gave the impression that pools did not want promotion especially back in 56/7 where the rumour was that the club could not afford division 2 football at the club.

Aye I remember me Dad saying that when I was looking forward to promotion. When we finally had the chance to nail that ghost at Cardiff we came up against the football establishment and that referee. I sometimes wonder at the so called legend of the Gipsy's curse and if it actually must be true.
