Games at Northampton - not won there in my lifetime. Particularly the game where we scored in the first minute and then shipped 5, (think it was a Tuesday night about 10 years ago) and could have been more

Walsall away 2 up with both goals from that goalscoring maestro Collin Larkin. Lost 4-2. Heard the last goal go in as I was climbing into my car.

Orient away went 3 down in 15 minutes about 15 years ago

Orient away again (DCs last game in charge) the game of 3 halves - absolutely mullered 5 nil

Games at Stevenage - they're normally shite and we never win there. Particularly galling was the TWAT that hid in the net and then took the ball off Killip and knocked it in the empty net, for the only goal of the game. Reckon it cost us our league status 2nd time around.

Edit- I also broke down on the A1 on the way home and got soaked, whilst waiting to be towed back to Ketrin

Poolies v Colchester at home, early 80’s a sunny day with frequent showers and we got tonked…..the gate was under a thousand and there were no mobilty problems in the Rink End…it was like the Ponderosa.

The Scunthorpe match when we were thumped 4-0 I think but also secured promotion, totally odd feeling

Didn't we get booed off and Tommy Widdrington was threatening to fight the whole away end- properly lost his shit!

Rochdale away- year we finished second to Walsall. Sold out away end (side) all in Fancy dress Lost 2 nil and finished with 9 men after a world class one handed save from Ritchie Barker, And Monkey retaliation after he got raked in the plums. Think we'd have virtually won the league had we won - but Pools are always the bridesmaid.

Think we then lost at home to Tit Rovers on the last day, the week after, sure that was 2 nil as well banghead

Walsall at the Vic, they put 5 past us, Westwood scored for Walsall from a corner at the Town End, he didn’t celebrate the goal though.
I can add another 2 Blackpool and Darlo in the play offs as well.

Aye, that was a big disappointment, nice day though, the sun shone and we spoke to three locals outside the ground post match to ask them if they were getting back on the coach we mistook for Poolies in fancy dress….turns out 70’s clothes were still current in Rochdale..

even now rochdale must be the retro capital of the country if you are not involved in a grooming gang.

Tit City away in the second leg play off semi final
I got locked in a pub with the locals near the ground, when they heard the Pools supporters coaches were about to arrive -they were all shitting themselves. I was too, as I didn't dare speak, whilst nursing my first and only ever pint of Scrumpy - (awful stuff, like dishwater) and having to listen to them belt out the worzels back catalogue!

Onto the game, still don't know how we lost it at the end of extra time. Though weren't helped by having 3 defenders carried off injured. Remember Barron was stretchered off with an oxygen mask on after taking a ball full pelt in the face

The behaviour of the Tit City fans was also disgraceful at the end when they invaded the pitch and were spitting on and abusing our players, who were sat, sick as fuck on the turf. Took a couple of police horses to regain control of the situation.

Hereford away Feb 1990. A mate from Swindon said he fancied coming along, which was great because he had a car. 19 minutes into the game, and we were 4-0 down. It was a long 70 minutes, and I felt embarrassed.

Mind you we got home quicker than a few Pools fans, who didnt get home until around 10am Sunday. They had left after the 4th had gone in, and went for a few pints in a couple of Herefords pubs. When they got back to the ground at 5pm, the supporters coach had left without them, no doubt everyone was on the bus at 4.30pm given the result. Poor buggers had to make their own way home, a mixture of hitch hiking and trains I believe. Still to this today, can't believe the driver would do that or that those on the bus would've allowed the driver to drive off without them.

This season's game at Ebbsfleet!

I reckon that it is the lowest point reached in the history of the club (to date).

I was at Brackley in the cup replay- and that was an absolute horror show.

Reckon it's as bad as I've witnessed in 40 years- maybe with exception of losing to Frickley at home in the mid 80's- though I was only a nipper back in them days!

We were also embarrassingly shite in Dicky Dosh's last game in charge at Harrogate.

I was also at that Frickley game.
Totally unexpected as we were well n truly in the Promotion Mix till the February big freeze kicked in. Then we went into free fall.

"We still got to play them at home"

That was the reason for adding (to date)!

The game we drew at Rushden and Diamonds handing them the championship if we had won it was ours think as well at one time we were 14 points clear at the top.
