I bet the club aren't too pleased by this from a commercial point of view. You could guarantee a sell out whenever we played them and Boxing Day is usually very full.

I'll be very surprised if they "requested " local fixtures over Xmas like someone suggested on another thread.

Boxing day 2006 I spent at The Stadium of Light. This year Victoria Park (assuming I can grab a ticket). If this carries on I think I'll buy a time share in the North East.

Can't think of anything better than your good selves at Chrsitmas.

So you can get tickets for all these big matches as soon as the season starts? Cause I may well get some for my buddies.

We will be invited to register for 3 batches of away tickets - the boxing day fixture will probably fall into the second batch. Away season ticket holders get first crack obviously and may well take up the full allocation at your place if it's less than 1000. Season ticket holders like me get the second crack and then members - non members are unable to buy away tickets.
