How many points are needed to qualify.
20/21 Bromley 69 points 7th Chesterfield 69 points 6th
21/22 Chesterfield 74 points 7th Grimsby 77 points 6th
22/23 Bromley 71 points 7th Borenwood 72 points 6th
23/24 Halifax 71 points 7th Gateshead 75 points 6th

So if we got 72 points that should be enough although not a guarantee. I only see one possible spot and that's 7th cas 6th would require around 74 points.
We currently have 42 points from 30 games to achieve the playoffs we would need another 30 points which is 1.875 points average per game.
We have 9 home games & 7 away games left.
Tamworth H win
Maidenhead H win
Altrincham H win
Aldershot A draw
York H lose
Flyde A win
Eastleigh A lose
Solihull H win
Boston H win
Halifax A lose
Ebbsfleet H win
Dag & Red A draw
Oldham A lose
Gateshead H draw
Rochdale A lose
Forest G H draw

Total of 25 points + 42 = 67 Points and yet again more heartache. It looks to me like too little too late. One positive is we have 2 more home games than away games. We play 4 out of next 5 games at home and this could be crucial for our chances if we can win any 4 of next 5 games. One negative and probably the " killer of hope " we have to play the last 4 games against teams chasing promotion / playoffs. But you never know we could get more than the 2 points I predict from these 4 games and that could be huge. But 1st and foremost we must do our very best to get 9 from the next 3 home games. If we got 6 or 7 it would simply put huge pressure on the next 3 games to make up the 1 or 3 points dropped in these 3 games.
Sadly I predict a 9th place finish but at least we can look forward to " Our Kevs " disastrous end of season party. :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingbuddies: :obscene-drinkingdrunk: A proper good :obscene-moneypiss: up  clappp

Bit more possible good news is Altrincham have 3 away games in a row now Oldham / Gateshead & Pools so hopefully they will fall away fast.

I reckon we could have most of the Simpsons cast already on the staff at Pools (though still a work in progress)-

Raj - Apu
Auld Len - Mr Burns
Walter Mitty Shithead - Sideshow Bob
Jeff Stelling - Chief Wigham

Limbrick - Smithers
Gav Skelton - Bart
Danny the Physio - Nelson

just cannot see how a narrow win at sutton has got this topic back on track. need to be quiet till the end of the month where these next 4 games will see what actual chance we have got. some teams could win em all with ease but pools are not some teams.

There's a few on here react to the 1 wins in a row like we have turned the corner and.
UNITED ARE BACK!

WE have been unbelievably favoured with other results this calendar year.

Now it's in our own hands to crack on and go and win these next 3.

A fresh start 16 game season.

Give us the confidence to go to Aldershot n win.

And you know what that does?

Sets up a capacity bouncing rocking Vic v York on March 1st.

DREAMS YOU KNOW YA HAVE TO HAVE THEN
!

Surely there will be heartbreak at Rochdale, where we draw in a must win game while dressed as Minions.

Yes Accy.
Is that your version of a fine line result?
Or against that if we fail tonight.
Just win our 2nd game in a row for only the 2nd time this season.

Positive result narrow the opinion I'd like to think.

He's right in theory, time is running out to get anywhere near achieving the objective. He's not likely to say the seasons finished and we're looking forward to our summer hols is he?
