The kid will still get the credit although not officially, doesn't even count as a shot on target.

He'll still be on the credits of FA Cup MOTD for the next 50 years like Ronnie Radford and the kid with the black and white Teddy Bear. It was a beauty.

Isn't it the referee that has given it as an own goal and not the BBC which it was when you think of it....it wasn't on target...it hit the crossbar then the keeper and then went in.
But still a beauty...and the lad will now be famous for the rest of his life.
And it'll be one of those 'where were you when that kid scored that goal' questions....I was in the Green Tree in Middlesbrough having quite a few house double Vodka and Cokes with no ice!!!

did the same about 50 years ago without the help of the keeper. the only credit i got was being dropped for the next game as it was the only good thing i did in the game.

If Boydies goal against Sheff. Wed like wise some of Hugh the Hammers had been in the Premier League they would have been shown time and time again on the TV.

Boydies favourite for me was down at Rushden and Diamonds when he took the ball off their keeper and scored…deep joy.

you should know that proper football does not exist outside the premier league and all trophys won prior to 1992 are conspiracy theories made up by odd balls that support teams outside of it.
