I have not checked the bunker so this could have been posted. Jamie Miley Midfielder recalled from loan at Newport ( 8 appearances). He watched the away game at Gateshead after playing the week before for U21s and is rumoured to be training at Pools. Mr.Burns says money made available and looking for more possible signings.

According to Newport forum he returned to Newcastle due to a club wanting to sign him permanently but played 8 games in first half of the season loan but been injured quite a bit in Newport. The fact he was watching the Gateshead V Newcastle game could be nothing or could be him looking to sign for Gateshead. Anyway no idea how good bad he is certainly not as good as his brother.

I heard he was in the crowd on Saturday as well. Few reports online saying he's joining

Lol, the game was indeed a seemingly never ending bore but imagine a Leeds or Burnley fan having to watch Pools vs Woking! Truth is that the best defence in the Championship came up against the best attacking side and cancelled each other out. It’s likely that one or both of these (or Sheffield United) will be playing in the Premier League next season. Whichever of the three go up is going to need to spend a helluva lot of cash in order to avoid an immediate return.

What we need is a CM who can run the show in midfield and maybe even pick out a forward pass rather than sideways or backwards, or make decisive runs into the box. Doesn't matter if he's 19 or 39, or if he's come from 3 levels above or below us, as long as he fits the bill and performs well for us.

Hartlepool Mail...Hartlepool United close in on transfer for Newcastle United Ace.

Ace?? He's never even played a game for the first team apart from a couple of friendlies.

Hardly an ace, 6 div 2 games for Newport, but who knows if he was being released by the Mags come the end of the season he might just try to prove them wrong. Hopefully he can displace Fev and put some attacking threat into the CM? Sarlls hoofball was awful to watch, the tippy happy is easier on the eye but creates very little, midfield is back to being what it has been for years weak and offering very little to defence or attack. Hopefully he gets into the team quickly and makes a difference.

I gather he played so few games for Newport because he was injured a lot. Are we signing a sick note? Hope not. Dont mean to have a go at the lad before he's kicked a ball for us but the injuries are a concern in a notoriously physical league.

But got scapegoated for a non win game.

Anyone not understand why we are so shit
Ya only have to scrutinise the jokeshop boardroom and the horrendous decisions they make.

Have you considerd a career as a scout in the professional game? I reckon a lot of clubs would pay a lot of money for someone with your skills.

We are in desperate need of someone in midfiled with pace who can carry the ball, beat his man then not have to check back as he’s been caught up with again
If this lad fits the bill then great, if not then we shouldn’t be signing him

I'm still hoping that our recruitment stops being rubbish. We've had a few good uns but most have been disappointing.

Well even though it was a mistake it is a useful word. For example, Doomie would be a great word to describe those on here who are all gloom and doom even when Pools win. There are one two. :)

I know I know I know...it's disgraceful how you talk to derwent. Unacceptable behaviour Oddie Oddball.
But it is good to see you got out of the right side of the bed this morning...yesterday was a nightmare for the Bunkerites with you hoying your toys out of the pram.
But all is forgiven...get back on form Oddie...we all miss your old self. :greetings-waveyellow: :handgestures-thumbup:

No idea. Anything is possible but the word is best known as rhyming slang for Berkley Hunt.

true, but describing the lad s an ace before he kicks a ball for us means the lad starts at a disadvantage until he wins a game on his own.
