Just happened to be in a pub last night that was doing a quiz. One question was can you name this song and who sang it. The clue was " Long haired lover "

No it was actually one of the music questions

All the music questions had a few words from a song and the players had to name the song / singers etc. We didn't take part but it was difficult to guess some of them and others easy. That's the only one I got right but then again I ain't that much into music. Mutters would have won the quiz.

Our lass just corrected me the clue was " long haired "

without knowing you or your lass i bet she got more correct than you did. even if she didn,t she,d have said she did and you cheated.

Spot on Accy. Went for a slash and thought of a answer...She said I asked someone in the bogs. Even though we did not take part she put my mobile in her pocket so I couldn't cheat.....as if.

If you were alive in the seventies I don't know how you could fail to know the answer, it was played to death for months.

You are 100% correct because all the Osmond shit was everywhere back then despite plenty of good groups in the UK. It's a pub up in Durham and mainly full of University students not many got it correct obviously due to age. What's easy for one generation can be extremely difficult for another. I honestly expected the younguns to cheat but they got plenty wrong so I guess they play fair unlike us older folk.

It was the only answer I got right from 10 music questions. To be honest most of the answers I had never even heard of until last night.

No chance. I got about 4 or 5 questions correct out of everyone's questions. Its a tough quiz...very tough. Our lass got more than me. But then again if there was a quiz about Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae I'd do ok.

need to have a go on mastermind having it as your specialist subject. surely more interesting for viewers than someone coming on answering questions about the life of anne of cleves etc.

Nar Mutters would get mastermind closed down once he was allowed to have his say. Mind you he would be that entertaining he would probably get his own show from the ashes of mastermind once he launched into one of his famous rants.
