Harrogate lost £1.2 million in 2023 then lost £2.5 million in 2024. Talk about throwing good money after bad. But Raj came to their rescue with the huge amount payed for Sam Folarin to help out a fellow struggling club.

Hobby club, money no object till the owners get bored.

Suppose it just depends on the depth of Old man Weaver's pockets and how much he's willing to continue propping and them up. There is a lot of money in that town though any football fans tend to be from the Dirty Leeds parish.

Credit to Raj for paying a fee- the lad has pedigree, and is also a good age. Hopefully he'll be success.
We were told we'd get one addition and we have two- one we've paid a fee for. Though maybe also a sign that we might have a departure or two before the EFL window shuts.

Sadly Kettering I believe we will lose a ManiD very soon. The money spent is a small part of what's incoming. I like Mani but it's pretty obvious he is wanting away by his body language. He will be gone during the week because it's Feb 3rd it closes.

He’s never been the same since ‘Snarll’..imaging the the team talk….’ Ok Mani I want to play you just in front of our back eight to run like fuck when we hoof the ball up..I’ll expect you to cover the 70 yards up to their box sharpish as the ball passes through the air over your head and score the only goal….then pull back to defend the lead…full blooded tackles are order of the day…a curdling cry won’t go amiss either….cheer up, it’s the future.’ banghead

A fee? It might have been ten bob and gone straight onto the debt. It could be a case of credit by Raj rather than credit to Raj. But if he's paid out for a player then it is certainly the latter. Personally I don't think anyone will leave.

I do hope any fee, included a box of kippers!
I reckon that could have been the clincher for Old man Weaver, before tucking into his Betty's Tea!

Our so called decent players are back on sick pay.
So can't see anyone leaving.

Rewind Alert.

We are now paying the price big style for not reinvested the cup runs moneys from 3 years ago back into the team.

We now sign Hopefully Good signings.

Instead of Good Signings.

I rest my case of the basic conclusion of why we will be shit forever under this clueless Chairman and his Mickey Mouse Boardroom.

Accept it and want change
Or become a failure loving Glorifyied Superfan.

There's no in between.

if its nailed on he is not going to re sign at the end of the season its better he goes now just to get something from him instead of nothing in the summer. only those who believe in fairy tales and promotion will want him to see out the season with us.

None of us know how much was made from the cup runs, the running expenses of the clu , or commitments and debts due to previous owners though so its all supposition about hoew much weve spent or was even available? And our close season signings mostly looked way better than for many years, many players coming from a higher division, or with good history, and some involving transfer fees.
Nobody wants failure let alone loves it, we all want things to change but we can't make it happen, acceptance is reality.
What we still have is hope that the change will come, first and foremost on the pitch and in results.
Does owner change come before form change, is this squad capable of doing better, can the manager do better, all these things are intertwined so there's no easy answer is there?

until there is a wholescale shake up of what any owners can spend without a really rich owner we will continue as we are. without owners putting in rediculous sums where would clubs like wrexham, stockport, harrogate, fleetwood, salford and the others i have missed would actually be. three of them would not be playing even at our standard as they never were before the riches came in.
