There was a report that the club in Westbourne Road was being bough5 by someone who wanted to turn it into a ‘House of multiple occupation which didn’t go down too well with the locals in what has always been a pleasant road…..anyone know the outcome….?

I can’t see it being knocked back due to the shortage of rental properties in the town, the only objection the residents could put forward would problems with parking but I doubt many people living in an HMP has a car.

I love the promoters of HMO’s patter when telling they provide shared accommodation for professionals ..professional what….?
The use of the word professionals to me reminds me of doctors, lawyers etc …don’t see them in a box bedroom and shared kitchen and bathroom setting.

I suppose a lot depends on who the multiple occupants are. Could they be folks of indeterminate nationality and age with no documents? On the other hand, maybe the occupants will be Hartlepool folk who just need somwhere to live.

That's the problem you don't know who's going in till they are in.

And a big problem…..is does it affect the price of your house…?

my parents will be turning in their graves by that.
