HBC has drawn up plans to help tackle a £2.95m deficit in its forecast for 25/26.
Bonfire celebration at Seaton scrapped, no free weekend parking at shopping centre and no Xmas decorations for the Headland and Seaton …bah humbug…and that’s just for starters .
Will Keir or the EU ride to the rescue…..? sadx

I hope they scrap all above. Plus councillors allowance.
But this council is on the bones of it arse. The government need to change the funding formula to move money from wealthy areas to the likes of here.

This Council has been on the bones of its arse for years…a root and branch review would help.
I’d expect them to carry on being a bit more vocal about finance now their Party is in Government…but on second thoughts would they…?

Maybe they should re-invest some of the wealth they have stashed away.

Funny you said that, I once saw three bin wagons together one dinner time….but surely they had to use petrol to meet up as they’d be working in different areas. sctatchinghead

I’m surprised any of you are arsed about this. Pools alone is in a similar amount of debt and no-one seems particularly arsed. :|

They will appoint some one and pay them £100000 a year to oversee how they can save money.
