Rover 214 SEI, M Reg so it's the older "Wedge" shape rather than the newer "Bubble".

Not a bad car in many ways, the K series engine gives it a bit of poke so it's nice to drive. However it's starting to rust badly in places, so I don't know how it will fare come the next MOT.

The annoying thing was that it cost me £300 to buy, then the same again within 3 months due to needing a new clutch and new tyres (don't know how much the previous owner slipped them to pass it through the MOT, no way were they OK then), and it now needs the exhaust looking at....

The Missus drives the Kiddy Wagon, a Picasso Diesel in dark blue....

11 year old Jeep Cherokee, 2.5 turbo diesel. Black, with leather seats, cheap fake mahogany interior and dog hairs in the boot.

Arrggh, the dreaded dog hairs. Ive had my car about a year and despite regular cleans hairs from the last owners mutt still crop up like a bad penny

I had to go outside earlier to check what mine is, couldn't remember, it's a Honda Accord 1.8i. Basically the same car as my previous one which was a Rover of some sort. I'm of much the same opinion as ECG, as long as my car gets me where I want to go, I don't really care what it is. How anybody can get excited talking about cars, or even watching programmes like Top Gear, completely mystifies me.

I find cars extremely dull indeed. Thats why I drive a Jeep, that and the space needed. No cars inspire me at all. I'm not an expert in anything. I'm shallow. I just want something that looks good and can take two kids, the mrs, the dog and has space. To me, cars and people carriers are dull.
The mrs wants us to get a vw camper van but it would be an only vehicle and Id feel a bit of a twat driving it to work or to pools. Plus, I'm told they're not reliable and I cant afford one anyway at present. Though yeah, it would be good to be able to bugger off with kids at a moments notice and travel around, sleeping inside or pitching tent when we felt like it.
Any tips, remarks on vw camper vans appreciated as if they are unreliable I'll prob rule myself out of trying to get one in the next few years. Any alternatives?

Hours of pointless, futile fun. Tonight I have been straightening a bent selector pin caused by a warped copy of The Monkees "Pleasant Valley Sunday".

You asked....
