Now it is on par with Men's Football...skill, physicality, ability, number of supporters etc etc...I don't think it will be too long before we see the first Woman playing in Men's Professional Football. I reckon within 10 years the first woman will appear in the Football League and I reckon that player will be a Goalkeeper.
Thoughts??

Nar nowhere near the standard of men's football. Not that long ago the women's USA played the men's USA and the score was 0-12 and could have been double that but the men eased off. It's like comparing a golf ball to a football.

just concentrate on making womens football better and keep it out of the mens game. there has been womens separate sports for years like tennis with their own stars as popular as the men with fans. main thing is keeping the trans lot well out of womens sport for the 50% of the population who mant to play games on a level playing field.

Women’s football will only become truly popular when women themselves start attending matches in numbers, and I really don’t see that happening.
Used to take my youngest daughter to Pools, loved it, but when I casually mentioned woman’s football she told me where to go.

The average height of a man when the dimensions of football goals were decided was 5' 5"...the average height of a woman in 2024 is 5' 3"..for women the goal frame should be slightly smaller, then the goalies might not look so silly (sometimes)

same with kids football up to under 16 level where full sized pitches and goals are just too big for them. there might be really tall lasses about but not all want to play football or even become keepers if they do. many play on all weather pitches but the goals available seem to be either 5 a side ones or full sized. surely something in the middle of both would be ideal.

Some where in time a female will take the football authorities to court saying they are curtailing their careers. Hasn’t there been cases of men’s only bars in golf clubs etc that ended up in court ?

thats where women lose their cases with me. they want their own safe spaces but equally want men to lose their non female spaces as well. only recently there was a ladies night at the club where i call the bingo and do my quiz where they had a make stripper but made it quite clear that us blokes could not have their version of it. agree with everyone having equality but feel like the minorities women want the best of all worlds available to them.

no more manly looking than many female sporting ones present and in the past. feel its a case of many people of both sexes who have characteristics of the opposite sex who are grown up tomboys or sissies and tend to follow those roles in their preffered workplaces where they fit in better.
