to connect your PC to a television?

I was hoping to do this to save me the job of copying programs onto a disc plus it will save downloading things to start with. After looking through those sites that Mr Katcha posted a few weeks back there are a few things that I wouldn't mind watching like Heroes which I missed first time around.

I've recorded a few fillums for the little 'un on the old Sky Plus, but dunno how to put them onto a disc?

It's got (the sky plus box) a USB port, so is it just a case of connecting my laptop to the Sky thingy and recording??

Playing stuff through a computer and feeding to a TV is simply a case of connecting a cable and pointing your display adaptor to a external display. Dead simple.

Downloadin stuff and converting it is a far different proposition. See here:
