That's a shame. We've got time to get someone else in.

his loan deal has expired - which is worrying because having such a good run in the team id of thought we would have asked for an extension?

Mathurin has every chance now to make a claim for that position in the side - and we know he has the ability.

hopefully get another striker in now

Unfortunately for Pools, we [Charlton] have two right backs out injured, so probably had little choice other than to recall him.
He will probably go straight back in our team for tonight's game at home to Chelsea u21s in the BSM cup & Saturdays FA Cup tie at Southend.
How did he do for you?

Gutted about that - he's been decent last couple of games. Also thought given Mr Burns' Charlton connection we'd have him as long as he was deemed needed.

Best of Luck for the future, Nathan.
Do me a favour and score against SARFend in the cup on Saturday - don't want my outlaws getting carried away with a cup run, would be unbearable!

Just my opinion but this lad needs to play higher up the pitch to have a real effect.

It annoys the heck out of me every time I like a loanee and then they inevitably go back. The three I've been most annoyed about have been Pedersen, Tshibola, and Kemp but this lad was really growing on me - so I'm not happy.

Yes it's very frustrating and I'm gutted an extension wasn't available.
Thanks young fella and I wish you all the best for a long and successful career.

The Charlton coaches need to work on his crossing to the forwards.
Good at going past opposition players like

Maybe next time he finds our forwards a lot better

7out of 10 performance level for us.

yes. funny how the shit ones nobody likes are never recalled and wonder how long they stay at their parent clubs when their time is up at pools and they go back.

Yep the joy of been a lower league football fan - falling in love with a loan player.... Pools' curse however is always that... we end up with the shit ones for far too long.

I think unfortunately i have stained in my memory about 20 absolute god aweful loan players compared to that of maybe 6/7 who have been utterly fantastic for us. I could see Asiimwe really falling into the very good category too.

that showed when some fans rated the bang average midfielder we got from the boro last season. showed at the back end of last season that our own kids were no worse than the ones who came from the so called bigger clubs. a couple were actually better.

Where's this Palace loanie.
The Altrincham commentary team said he's the best academy player in Europe.

Should be destroying Division 5!

there is your answer. he is loaned to a 5th division club and not a championship one where he would have gone if he was really that good.

The amount of time n effort put into Academy's are a waste of time in the lower divisions.
Must cost more than selling 1 or 2 onto bigger clubs.

Go back to proper scouting.

And the bigger clubs. Well its just jobs for the boys to go with the cranks on the sidelines with I pads.

you,ll find many ex and present managers who would agree with that but feel its a box every club has to tick and its not fashionable for them to come out against them in public. when you get even youth team managers who tell you openly that none of em will ever make it after you tell them they look to have a decent set of lads you know there is a problem.

Every now and again Pools bring out all their kids from 8/9 yrs old and above at half time doing keep ups etc all believe/hope they are going to be make it. Truth is be lucky if any do. One of the problems is the big clubs just sweep the area for the best from such an early age. I personally know of an 8yr old from Hartlepool who attends the Boro set up and I’m sure there are others.

and the vast majority will miss out on an important part of their lives by not having a kick around with mates or playing for their school team with them. then in years to come when they do not make it ending up as subs in the sunday league because many develop at a later age and become better players but miss out on the chance.

Pools had a prime example of good youngsters who never made it. Peter Creamer was captain of England at under 15s. An apprentice at Boro then sold to Doncaster who sold him to Pools and then a free to Rochdale and finished by the time he was 33.

Without a playoff finish this will become the norm for from now on sadly. banghead

Maybe because a team from a higher league wanted to take him on? Complete their promotion push.

I can’t see Pools bringing anybody in. The wage bill must be about £60k per week and we have got one home game in the next 4 weeks. This is a serious cash flow problem.

Oh well if that's the reason then Mr.Burns can now use those spare wages to bring in a player who would be happy to come on loan. sctatchinghead

 Slight overreaction to a player joining a team top of the league above and 3 hours closer to home.

know that, but over a season we do play as many home games as others do so its only a temporary thing i imagine others go through as well.

Would of made financial sense to of took the FA cup/trophy a bit more serious.
Instead of the bullshit some posters n club management come out with that it.

Automatically means we win more league games to rocket us up the table.

You know what a mean like sctatchinghead.

New target easy one.

Go win the next 3 games. rolf
