Not in the squad again, is he injured? Unusual for the captain to be completely dropped not even on the bench two games in a row

Sass Davies is a better player than Waterfall, he has more pace to start with.

Nice long rest, didn’t see it Comjng but he’s past it sadly, here a year too long.

Mani O should be starting in front of sass-davies

Not a massive diff but think he would work better with Parkes as a little more pace--am not anti Davies just pro Mani O

Sass-Davies was much better on Wednesday than anything I’ve seen from Onarise in the last season and a half. He played 34 games last year in a season where we conceded 82 goals. Just because he hasn’t played for a while, people seem to be forgetting how error-prone he was.

Onarise goes from brilliant tackle to oops, didn’t mean that to happen.
I get a bit twitchy when he’s in the box.

That’s his weakness but he never really got to play next to a proper old school center back last year like Parkes….physically he’s our best defender , and I think with an experienced player next to him he’s less likely to be making the daft mistakes

I agree loyal- think ManiO deserves a run of games in the side.

You mean apart from the 5 games he played last year alongside Tom Parkes, 4 of which we lost, including when he started against Gateshead alongside Tom Parkes, and he was substituted after 74 minutes by which time we had conceded 6 goals?

Sass Davies is better than Manny O, no doubt about it.

someone said when we first got Mani O that the lad has the ability and all the characteristics to be playing higher up - they applauded the fact he was coming to Pools as it was another forward step in his career - however the caveat to that was the reason why he wasnt playing higher up was we would find out... and ohhh boy did we find out on more than 1 occasion. Decision making and prone to a few errors will always keep you at this level unfortunately.
