Having said that I once put £100 on Greece to win the euros at 50/1. When they reached the final William Hill offered me £2600 to walk away but I stuck and got £5100.

I only put the bet on after watching a friendly between Argentina and Greece the weeks before. Can't remember the exact score but Greece won possibly 1-2 but totally ran Argentina ragged. :laugh:

By my reckoning if every Bunker member put a fiver on and pledged the winnings if it came off to buying the club we'd have enough to buy Raj out surely?

Think we'd all have to do it individually otherwise bookies wouldn't take it or wouldn't pay out as collectively it'd be way over their max.

It’s bizarre, 250/1 to get promoted or 100/1 to win the playoffs.

So we’re 2.5 times more likely to win the playoffs than get promoted (which we do if we win playoffs, or win the title).

Darlo need new investment as much as us to be fair. They've probably over-achieved to get where they are now with no ground and limited resources.
I'd like nothing better than to have the derbies against them again but preferably at a higher level.

The odds where checked and it came out that you Sussex had more chance of getting your leg over in Buckingham Palace forecourt during the changing of the guard at midday with a top model ….than your bet coming true. :laugh:

We were 250/1 on Bet365 when I put my £2 on us to get promoted yesterday after reading this thread. There must have been others who did the same for it to drop overnight to 150/1!!
