Went to Billingham Forum to see Clinton Baptiste, full house and sat waiting for the start and a couple get in the end two seats next to us, the lad pulls his phone out and starts watching the goals …I ask him if I can have a look and I get the second viewing…..our lass said “Trust You” refred

That crack on the head is giving you " double postings " instead of double vision.

That is absolutely true, it's amazing where you meet up with Poolies. The furthest away it happened to me was bumping into three Poolies with the shirt on in Melbourne Australia.
At a sportsman dinner in Rotherham. Paul Merson was the after dinner speaker as well as being on Stelling's panel on Gillette SS. Pools were playing that night and the wife was getting updates on her phone. At half time she walked up to him and said "you'll be pleased to know that Pools are winning" Merson shook his head and said "you bastards get everywhere"

Who the fuck would want to go ice skating…played 5 a side there in the 70’s and one leisure centre is just like every other leisure centre.

" I was dragged along to give it a try ...and it didn't work out well " no wonder it didn't work how well. What did your parents expect getting a small child to break ice using your head. No wonder you now have a phobia about ice rinks. If it wasn't for that bang on the head you would be a Poolie now.

Nowt to do with Macho.
Let’s apply logic to this….you avoid icy surfaces in winter in case you slip over and injure yourself, yet you pay to go somewhere to recreate something you avoid…then you have to run the gauntlet of people who look like Bambi on ice with huge metal blades on their feet rushing past you. Why sctatchinghead

Took the kids to the Isle of Wight back in the 90’s driving through Shanklin…. I hit traffic lights and there on the corner was the brother in laws mam and dad with another couple chatting away but as the lights changed his dad casually caught my eye as I drove away and waved…he was in the rear view mirror looking like his eyes were playing tricks, especially when the others told him he imagined it.
Next time we met up at a do he asked me if he’d seen me and I said yes…and then dragged me over to tell his misss he wasn’t going mad
A smashing bloke. clappp

did it once as after we left school somebody decided to run a trip to an ice rink as there was a bar there for me to do all the ordering. nobody had done it before but a couple of lads really got into it. i just hurt my wrist and arse falling down more than a premier league attacker. certainly not for me but each to their own. i feel the same way about playing rugby where if i want to get punched, kicked and knocked about i,d rather pinch another blokes fit wife to get similar treatment but i,d have a chance as its 1 to 1 and not 1 on 15.

I once got told off a scouser on a job i was on in the middle east that "teesiders" specifically monkey hangers are very much like them.... we are in every pub in every corner of the globe. It doesnt take long to find one he always said. The joy on his face when a fellow countrymen turned up ill never forget - sure he greeted me with "your either from Tully or North east with that hair cut"
