Whoo best result. Lennie to take over, probably the reason why he's been in the dugout.

Given a lot of slack by Raj compared to many previous managers.
The f*cking idiot was too stubborn or too stupid to take the opportunity he had here.

Good to hear that the loser has finally gone but this is no time for celebration, he should have gone six weeks back, instead he has been permitted to continue to wreck our club, dragging it down into the situation that it is currently in. This will represent a huge stain on Sarll’s CV - it must be doubtful if he ever ‘manages’ a football club again - outside of the red rec. Other clubs at whatever level need to be alerted to the risks of employing this faker.

One thing is nobody will come on here and say how sorry they are for him and doubt we,ll ever see him returning to the vic as an opposition manager as we cannot play in the isthmean league.

What a relief. Last Saturday would have been better but hey ho. Hopefully we can put all this behind us and concentrate on climbing the league.
I hope his sidekick is going with him.

thats going to be much harder than sacking sarll. just no more failed managers with a name from the past please. prefer seeing an up and coming bloke from the lower leagues getting a chance. football is basically the same in the northern league but a bit slower and less skillful with a few more mistakes. the tactics employed though will be similar.

Good news. Mentioned it on another thread though - upon his appointment - there was universal agreement with the decision. It hasn't worked out at all and he hasn't helped himself at all either. The next bloke in will likely run a superb opening bandit in the presser, we'll get enthused, and as we always do, hope for better days!

Interesting wording that it was 'the board' who parted company with Mr Sarll & not the chairman!

Might be a case of decent coach but shit manager so his future might still be within football but really can't see him managing at this level again. More likely his bluster has earned him more than his actual footballing nous.

An incredibly unlikeable bloke. Always seemed to say something catastrophically stupid in every interview which ruined his relationship with the fans, instead of the big 'I am' he should've tried a bit more humility. He should've gone after Rochdale and only didn't go after Sutton 'because he just gave us the best 45 mins of the season' according to a board member.
Don't fuck about now and get a new manager in so they can watch Saturday's game. Pete Wild would be great but unrealistic, Jonathan Greening, Craig Mahon and Callum McIntyre are all doing well in the league below or someone like Graeme Murty, has management experience but now Sunderlands Under 21 boss.

I hope so. Sarll has managed to get us all singing from the same Hymn sheet so let's try and hold on to that and stick together.

Mine too but I think if he had gone on Saturday there would have been a distinct chance of us still being in the Cup but I guess we'll never know.

Very well aware, don't think it's realistic (it would cost money for starters) but would like to see us go for someone like him.

correct at least sarll did something right. we are all different with one common goal to see pools being a team worth watching again.

if we want to improve things money must be spent. i,d guess there are load of greenings about who are overachieving at clubs who could do a job for us. football isn,t rocket science, its just those involved in the game try to make out it is for their own ends by trying to blind us with football science.

Agreed, Sarll’s legacy is that he unintentionally united Pools fans in a common cause. He will never be forgotten here - for all the wrong reasons - that is for sure.

Really wanted the appointment to work as did pretty much everyone else but agree with everyone that he had to go.
Hopefully onwards and upwards. Think we all deserve a little bit of positivity for a change…..

It wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be Ronnie Moore if the market isn't filled with options viable for Pools.

Ding dong…the fuckwits gone

Incompetent and unlikable is a tough combination!

Should have been done a long time ago and cost us a chance of a half decent cup run and more than a few points in the league

It was interesting that we didn’t get the usual platitude of ‘ We thank Darren for his efforts etc’ there was none of that, I was told he travelled back with the team, he lives not far from Brackley as he explained in his interview. Only to be told this morning and he blew his stack.

Ronnie Moore and LL - like them 2 old fellas off the Muppets, (Statler & Waldorf). Should stear us to safety (we hope) !

but honestly though... anyone else absolutely sick of this whole carry on.

Like others have said - New manager comes in.... same old speech.... rallies the troops - gets a new manager bounce first win - 6 games later all to shite ! why we felt the need to get shot of Phillips is beyond me. Its absolute custard in the faces which alot on here said would happen too. KP must be grinning with delight now hes fixed up in the same league as us with a half decent side too.

It’s the Pools cycle. It’s a shame another man has lost his job but this one had to happen.

I do think that if we can even get an interim based manager (not LL) pulling everybody back in the right direction, that Pools still have a chance this year. Got a profile of players which could fit in to lots of different systems & not forgetting two very good goalscorers in this team. Like Mathurin hasn’t yet experienced playing in a pools team brimming with confidence and winning. It is players like him you could imagine really stepping up under a new positive and attacking regime.

Young players with bags of talent that are playing under a cauldron of pressure due to a manager well out of his depth. Take the shackles off, play the ball on the deck and get the confidence up… only 5 points from play offs!

They have definitely improved the "Match Day Experience"

We need a shrine to Walter Mitty Shithead so we can all bow down every home game outside the main entrance in brass.

Hes going to stand outside the "1908" holding a placard "Ask a Question"

Don,t want "Uncle Darren" to leave the fans empty handed so heres a few words for him to ponder on.

prolixity .

the fact of using too many words and therefore being boring or difficult to read or listen to.

bromide .

a remark or statement that, although it might be true, is boring and has no meaning because it has been said so many times before.

verbose .

using or containing more words than are necessary.

From us to you "Uncle Darren"

Signed "Clever Dick"

It was interesting that we didn’t get the usual platitude of ‘ We thank Darren for his efforts etc’ there was none of that, I was told he travelled back with the team, he lives not far from Brackley as he explained in his interview. Only to be told this morning and he blew his stack.

This can't be true. It's a journey he has fine many times. How could he be upset about that. At least he didn't have to pay for his travel. I admire him in a strange way. It takes a certain individual to have that much confidence in themselves when they have zero ability.
