He should know his best 11 by now.
But his best 11 and the common sense best 11 either elude him or he’s gone pig headed and out to prove he’s right and the world is out of step.
Get used to to the bizarre delight of his team selections as absurd as they are because I doubt he’ll ever get it right.
Meanwhile the clock on a successful productive season is close to midnight and another season wasted in exile in the Gulag of football.
The longer it goes on the greater the disillusionment.

Sarl doesn’t appear to selecting his best starting 11, after the break in most of the games he makes at least 3 subs.

I think you could ask any fan of Hartlepool to pick our best 11 and it would be the same.
Young
Dodds, BSD, Parkes, Ferguson
Sheron, Featherstone
Grey, Mancini, Mathurin
Mani D
The only 2 controversial picks there are Mancini/campbell and Mathurin/Charman. The issue isn’t his best 11 it’s his insistence on his style of play which gets nothing out of any of that front 4. Again any Pools fan can see it so why can’t he?

His best 11 means the 11 who can run the longest without stopping, who can execute the perfect fool or assault on our opponents, and who can kick it the furthest (accuracy not required).
Where he got his coaching badges from is a mystery.

Any 11 that does not contain Hunter, Sheron, Sloggett, Ferguson possibly even Charman or is not managed by Sarll.

I reckon Sarly was gutted starting the main 3 yesterday of
MannyD
Mancini
Grey.
But didn't have the bottle to drop them again incase a few fans shouted compliments at him again.
If the Away section isent behind the Brackley dug out then he will be back to his normal Sarly selection.

As it's non segregated - should imagine we'll be able to roam free. May even change ends at half time- (proper old school). Last time I did that, was when I went to Braintree a few seasons ago and Killip had a blinder for them.

Will happily give him some stick if warranted, though will be very nice about it, maybe the classic 'shit sandwich' as I don't want him to cry.

if we are getting beat he deserves everything thrown at him and not nice either. let him know with bells on he is not wanted and if we do win applaud the players but blank him. just make it as uncomfortable as possible for the bloke and everyone has a breaking point where he could crack and walk away.

If we get beat, (regardless of it going to spot kicks, which I suspect it might) I will properly lose my shit with him, and tell him exactly what I think.
My only crumb of comfort being that at least I'll get home well before midnight.

its a shame Sloggett is so poo. Really had high hopes for him and he had a canny looking pre season in the games he featured.
Sheron is inconsistent but i think he is good and fit enough for a starting place - its just trying to fit the best 11 players into the side - a good manager would do that. And rotate as necessary. Can see the dilemma he has and ive stated this for weeks that we have not yet seen the best 11 formation and players on the pitch this season ! Charman is a handful again but playing 3 up top just isnt working. I think we have signed the wrong players to those we already had along with trying to bring in 2 defensive midfielders and then having Campbell too ?
