What springs to mind are the first 3 things discussed. 1st he said its obvious we missed Fergy so he thinks the man is a good player yet has no back up for him. sctatchinghead 2nd he said they came for him to do the job..Got to wonder why he is planning ahead regardless of the results / performances / supporters unless it's in his contract to be in charge a minimum of a full season. Maybe that's something to do with him being rocky confident he is not getting the bullet. He basically said its a blip and not 30 or 40 games in. He said we have plenty of time. 3rd Very strange he said its a tough town that needs a tough team REALLY.

Hunter out until Christmas and quite possibly a lot longer. If he is still in charge on Saturday it wouldn't surprise me if we won 0-1 after a early goal then park the bus to get the win. Or equally it could a be whopping of 6-0

Its a blip its been 10 games of utter rubbish. We have no hope. I thought he would of been gone by now. Clueless our club at times.

He does seem oblivious to reality or does he have a quarentee written in his contract due to the job being the most vulnerable in English football. I believe he said when he came that he was moving up to the North East immediately sctatchinghead He repeated that the club asked him to take the job so is it at all possible he wanted a quarentee in his contract. sctatchinghead

At the end of his interview for the club he says 'Rochdale only had 5 shots and we had 14' we both had 10 shots that game with Rochdale creating the much better chances. He then says it takes time to get the players playing and all other teams go through blips where they don't win for 2 or 3 games. We've already had 2 blips then (according to him), once where we didn't win for 4 games against Wealdstone, Halifax, Woking and Braintree, and then this recent run where we've lost 3 in a row. Now those 'blips' make up 7 of our 11 games so far so I'm unsure if a majority of games can be called blips?

Usual load of total bullshit, whoever appointed him must be very easily taken in. His last job he was sacked by Woking because they lost 8 out of 10 games and yet he was considered to be the new Messiah, could only happen at Pools.

We got him about May so should only have 5/6 weeks probation Unless Llke been said he's that much of a Bullshitter he's managed to wangle his way around that and he's on a cushy number.

Had any previous manager produced this dogshit football n pathetic results they would of been well shot.

We haven't even had this brutal Autumn Budget yet and the crowds are dropping off at a dramatic rate.
Fcuk off Sarly.

wants to 'get back to who we are while keeping 11 on the pitch'....jesus christ

Apparently you never know when the bad patches come and the good patches come.....my guess is a good patch will come when he fucks off !

Might just be me but he sounds like a builder who has the plans infront of him to build a new house. And it appears he built a sound foundation from solid materials then used twiggs to try and build the 1st floor and it keeps on getting blown away. So instead of saying look I am only capable of doing the foundations you will need to get a builder in to finish the job, maybe he took on the build with a personal quarentee to be allowed to finish the job. sctatchinghead

Not interested in what Sarll has to say anymore - he's a dead man walking at Pools - or he should be. Surprised that Tees have agreed to interview him after he abused Rob Law last week.

Maybe Walter Mitty Shithead will crawl out of the woodwork and defend what he claimed earlier was HIS decision to appoint Sarll?

Well " if " Walter Mitty Shithead is Waddell he is already back on the board so won't need to crawl out of the woodwork. On the other hand if he is not then who is. sctatchinghead

Hence the pathetic 2nd half display at woking, the pathetic 1st half display at Boston, a rather meek 1 goal in 6 games at home. He has deffo got his team playing tough.

Like the Woking fan said on another thread, Sarll only has one style of play. Now he's really kicking himself for the mistake of trying to play some actual football: 'We have to be what we are... I think we've probably tried to move on a little bit too quick."

He's gonna be cursing that with Hunter out he can't go back to 3 cloggers in midfield - maybe try Sass-Davies there? He'll have Joe Grey doing a bit of fetching and carrying in front of them and the two big lads trying not to go for the same header every time Smith kicks it out of his hands.

Not that it'll make a h'appeth of diffence - now that he's been found out the players will go on the pitch expecting to get beat. Dead man walking.

Don’t worry Snowy, he said because we took 10 shots against Rochdale we can afford to rein it in a bit and go more defensive. The goals will be flying in with our 5 shots taken per game now

"It would be nice to get some sort of CONSISTENCY.
But that starts with an OUTCOME.
The OUTCOME determines the CONSISTENCY of the next one..
And the next one, and the next one, and the next one and the next one.
There's absolutely no point in trying to do the same thing and losing every game.
Because that would be an act of lunacy right?
So it's important that the OUTCOME dictates..
And we can follow on that path."

Yep...straight out of the David Brent book of Football Management for Dummies.
Classic stuff..

While not wanting players injured, it is a relief somewhat Sarll cant pursue his midfield wet dream of Hunter Sheron and Sloggett with Charman adding to the 'press' from out wide for a couple of months

The fact he wants us to retreat into our defensive shell and go back to his glory days of lucky 1-0 wins vs Tamworth and Yeovil sums it up....only at Pools

actually his tactics in those away games were spot on even if aided by a bit of luck. i,d guess anyone who travelled to those game were quite happy with the result and performance. you go to away games and are happy with any result as long as its not a defeat. however home games are totally different and fans do not want to watch us looking like the away team. other clubs change their style in home and away game but sarll either does not know this or is stubborn and unable to change.
