I'd have Kabamba from that lot
He did well in a woeful team under Dicky Dosh and we got a few quid for him from Killie (or was it St Johnstone, I can't remember?)

Probably none of them but just pointing out but thsre are some of the current lot I would not have signed or some that were resigned like Ferguson who now seems out of his depth even at this level, often beaten by wingers on his side of defence. Also apologies as this is a double article sent.

I wouldn't swap any of them for the CF's/wingers we have now. I wouldn't mind the tactics and formations that they're playing though (as opposed to ours). The commentators on National League TV at the weekend said that Lennie and DS were having a chat - then we went 4-4-2 with two big lads up front. And the worst thing was - it was an improvement. Absolute clueless dinosaurs.

Agree, that’s the point I was making.
They just happened to score goals in the same period, ironic, but they’re never gonna hit the heights, for various reasons.

To be honest I would have any of them back, if only on a short term basis. These guys are proving that they are capable of scoring goals at NL level NOW, not at some point in the past as is the case with some of their replacements. We are all now well aware of Sarll's limitations but I haven't seen much evidence of the current batch of strikers, midfielders and yes, centre backs, putting their bodies on the line, going in where it hurts to score goals for the club.

We can cite team selections, tactics, previous success at NL level or NLN/S but these players have yet to prove themselves at HUFC, NL 2024/25. Will a (probably essential) regime change necessarily prove to be the magic bullet that ignites our season without further 1st team surgery?
