It's much worse since covid They are vastly richer and us simple folk (99%) are very much poorer on all fronts. What makes me laugh is people really believe that food prices / energy etc will come back down to pre- Russia levels. These people all work together for there own common good and not to help us peasants. There is not a chance of prices ever plummeting. I agree with that Accrington but in the 50's/60's CEO's only earned about 20 times more than the average wage...now its over 400 times more.
And years ago you could live comfortably with only one wage coming in the home...now it's normal for both adults to have to take a part-time job to make ends meet.
Money wise young workers are worse off than their parents for the first time ever....and it's only going to get worse.
