Our hardest game of the season.
Need to keep 11 on the pitch to have a chance.
What will be will be.

1-1

Scrappy draw do a nothing to ease pressure….sarll shoehorns in an excuse about ebbsfleet changing managers in post match interview to set the scene for an underwhelming Saturday…

2-0 defeat, Boston a team in form, beating York 2-0 and Sutton 3-0. Do not think our hoof ball tactics will get us anything in this game.

4 - 1 defeat and 1 sending off for Pools. 247 Poolies chanting Sarll is a Fraud after 18 minutes after going 3 nil down.

Well aye... but in between they got beat 3-1 at home by Yeovil, who we beat away...

For that matter their home form is dreadful - so far they have 1 point from 4 home games, a 1-1 draw with Tamworth, who we beat away... That's even worse than Pools' home form!

As Boston's away form is better, maybe we should worry about when we play them at the Vic...next March

Boston 3-1 Pools Gary Madine with a 93 minute consolation. Sarll says he's upset with the players attitude and applause the fans for making a long trip, blah blah blah.

Needs to be a win tonight. Heart says 1 nil pools, head says we are going to struggle to create any chances.

big question to ask is tonight going to be a repeat of what we have seen but the start of a revolution to play football if the new lad and charman start from the off. going for 1 nil to them as i feel its going to be a copy of last saturday.

I’m with you Mr A I’d like to see Charman and the loaner winger start but then it’s the question of team formation and who do you drop. Mancini,Grey Campbell all have their supporters and I can’t see all in the team if we play two winger's

I'd like to see us start with 13 on the pitch - then again, they'd only get in each other's way

Bostons little run will come to an end - they are not good enough to sustain that. Especially against a side as well drilled as us (we are actually very good at keeping the ball out the net now). Just we have to capitalise on fitness and be the ruthless team - can see the cards being out again but think Pools will edge this one either with a late goal or we hit them hard and come out the traps like at Woking and get 2 early on and maintain the possession and keep it that way this time !

For me, despite it's being early days, the next two matches are a pointer to how the season will go. Either Sarll has learned that we have the fire power to win games and can modify his strategy or we continue to keep a clean sheet and hope to snatch a winner whilst the opposition are still in the game. The current strategy will mean middle of the table mediocrity when we could be playoff candidates.

Hopefully a 2-0 win at Boston followed by a big win at Ebbsfleet on Saturday.

If we lose against Ebbsfleet, a change of manager would be essential.

i think not having commentary makes it more depressing--no one dressing up how bad we are

No idea what our tactics are in terms of attacking and the players have no idea either, just hit and hope someone will do something individually

Hit n hope is bang on.
Pathetic.
How anyone can defend this manager is beyond me.

Unbelievable just how bad ferguson is these days, that's probably 4 games in a row I've never seen him pass to his own team. He's an absolute liability!

Surely he should be looking to swap him for Madine, otherwise we may be looking at another ‘Southend’ game only with less points.

i cant believe we signed 3 midfielders who dont want the football.....then played all 3 of them together
Never more than 2 of them at the very most and certainly not against the likes of boston!

Not clicking as a team because of piss poor tactics. We're better than them but they're enjoying it more. Not just because they're 1-0 up but because they've got a plan. Our players think our plan sucks. Mani D is so frustrated.

Boston have it easy. They don't need to defend nor attack really, because we'll keep the ball and give it to them every now and again. Excellent tactic

If we lose against this lot who can't even be arsed to provide a commentary at the Jakemans Community Stadium - then I reckon DS is in the wrong job. And he'll be made aware of that in the near future.

A positive spin is a number of teams - including us - have had poor starts to the season and then turned it around. Sarll can’t be so stubborn as to not try something new now. The midfield 3 just isn’t working. He’s directed the keeper to distribute to his full backs more which is progression but Fergie and Freeman just sliding balls through to nobody. No patterns, just like Saturday.

Really soft goal the way Fergie lost his man.

Pools are trying to play more football but haven't got the right players on the pitch to do it. Sloggett and Sheron both passed balls straight into touch when under no pressure - never saw Crawford and Cooke do that never mind Mnancina and Campbell!

One good chance and Mani skyed it... and no excuses for Mathurin, he's been ordinary. Hope we don't have to wait too long for changes.

we shouldn't understate how shite Boston are...we gifted them a goal, and then created nothing ourselves....as we have 3 'ball winners' in the middle of midfield so when they get the ball they just want to go backwards

Cant remember a bigger hap between the potential in the squad and what the manager is getting out of them

Agreed - worrying thing is we’re still working out the best team. I keep saying it though, pass completion % and connected crosses so far lower than previous tenures. We aren’t creating enough.
