All have 1 win 1 defeat and 4 draws from last 6 games. All but Braintree are expected to be involved in promotion this season. We have 4 clean sheets from last 6 games / Braintree have 3 / Southend have 2 & Oldham have 1. IF IF IF we win the next two away it opens up very nicely for us. That would set things up nicely going forward, and would almost certainly guarantee a top 7 spot before our home to D&R a team who have drawn 4 lost two of last 6 games. We should beat these if we do manage 6 points from the 2 away games. These two are massive games that need 6 points otherwise we might implode in the home game. Guess what Umerah scored today.

must admit i have more faith in us getting wins in our next two games as they are away from home unless the home teams are prepared themselves to play for a point. umerah scored today right but he would not have scored for pools yesterday. doubt harry kane would have either.

Problem is we are going into these games and creating virtually nothing. So we are going to struggle against any team. No matter how bad they are.

We made chances yesterday - we just didn't put them away.

how many apart from that scramble we could not put away. think at best both keepers had only a couple of saves to make. cannot expect to score at any level if at best you only make a handful of half chances a game with little time in and around the penalty area. all in all yesterday neither team got more or less than they really deserved out of the game where the man of the match was any fan who turned up to watch it over the full 90 odd minutes played.

We are making 2 or 3 a game about 1 every half hour at home is ridiculous. We are not going to win many games creating so little.

Still need to be taking more of the few chances we're creating. Thought Joe Grey 1st half had a good chance but tried to take too many touches and from where I was it looked as if Freeman couldn't miss.
I think starting the winger from Palace and Mancini would have defences at this level shitting themselves if they're allowed to express themselves. It would also allow Joe Grey to get closer to Mani.

Yep totally agree - its not a given we win tomorrow but in form Boston shouldnt be a worry for us if we get the team selection right.
I think this level and the players we have for games we should be really looking at the opposition and seeing how we can hurt them - feel like we are always set up to defend how a team can hurt us.

also to add...
Madine mis timed a run which a man of his calibre should of done better with and he kind of kicked thin air as the ball went past him - another day or should i say another striker and that ball goes in the net - Sloggett and Freeman also with sitters missed. Halifax have a really good defence too lets not kid ourselves they where a promotion outfit last season.

we will continue to miss chances if players know they,ll only get one chance a game. they,ll snatch at their chance instead of having some composure. when manni d was scoring regularly in games he might score a couple but even on a good day he,d miss a couple also similar to the ones he put away.

yeh thats true - few times last season id be gobsmacked at how he could miss a sitter or a simple header yet contort those long legs and fire in a half volley off a cross

Whoever gets picked will still be expected to track back when Pools are out of possession - which is most of the time!

Mancini did more defensive work than Fergie against Halifax's number 5 on Saturday and still managed to be dangerous with the ball. He looked pooped after half time though.

Pools need to be better at ball retention to give our forwards a fair crack of the whip - hoofball isn't the answer. Is Sarll able to tweak his style of play so Pools can dominate the opposition? We'll soon find out!

found that alot of second balls and balls we could win and attack dont get sorted either. Hope we actually are analysing the data and looking at the previous games and seeing how we can improve - thought we had a stat guru still at the club too ?

F*#k the stats…it’s a simple game…score goals and don’t concede any.
There…I feel better for that.

Even the bottom team of the worst division 5 ever.
This despite on paper we having a talented squad.

Like I said about 2 weeks ago.
This season we got.
The Support.
The Players.
And believe it or not the backing from the Chairman.

We just got the wrong stubborn crank manager.

So we 3 quarters have the foundations to compete in this dogshit standard division.

Over to you Fevsy.
No pressure.

think its a part of a football managers DNA to be stubborn and refuse changes from the system they want to be played no matter what. it works for good or lucky ones but the others die by their actions but doubt a single one blames themselves for the sacking. it will be the chairman, players, fans and the tea lady at fault but never them.
