FINALLY.... Palace giving us a player.

Sure we all thought (and may have been mentioned after that Cup tie with them) that we would be making a relationship with them and possibly getting some of their good academy lads.

The last one we had from them many moons ago if my memory serves me correct - Jake Gray. Attacking midfielder. Was absolutely quality and showed some real signs of one day making it in the Prem. Unfortunately think he went down hill after Palace and might even be still playing for someone in the Isthmian league or NLS ?

Seems DS once again has been patient and picked out exactly the right loan candidate.
He sounds exactly what we need:

- one of if not the best U21 in their side just now
- cusp of first team Prem football
- Beats his man and sounds very good at doing it
- Lethal on the cross and delivers with pin point accuracy.

Hopefully another Loan player to fall in love with and not want to see leave !

Typical pools just when I had resigned myself to a season of shite they sign what sounds an exciting player

Fingers crossed he’s good enough to make a big diff but not so good he goes somewhere else in January

I hope this lad is in the same mould or better than the young winger we loaned from Millwall a few seasons back. He was some player and would have gone on to be one of the best loan players ever to pull on the blue n white but for that loan ending injury. Welcome Roshaun I feel like you are going to be the special piece in our jigsaw. If you play like it says on the can you will be adored here mate. clappp clappp clappp

He will obviously be an absolute world beater at this level and shine for us for the next few months - League clubs ears prick up come Jan and one of them takes him off of us - can see it all now. Just as the lad is on about 7 goals and 10 assists !

This lad can play either wing ( 2 footed ) and has in the past. He can also play no10 so he looks like he could link up all attacking play / create goals and score goals

Just watched his highlights and this lad is tasty  No guarantee he will be a success here despite his undoubted skill level. However I am quietly confident this lad is that special missing piece in the D.S. jigsaw, It's now time for action and goals and a winning team from this Saturday.

Has Raj told Sarly this signing has to stop this.
Long ball thug football shite.
Because 3500 crowds wasn't in the pre season script.
Massive game Saturday were a full team has to get the 3 pts.

Be interesting to see what the line up is on Saturday. We've got Madine who'll be wanting game time but will need service to be effective so we'll need width and pace, and we've got this kid who I'm sure will be expecting to get plenty of game time, will they both start or come off the bench?
Think the crowd will be up a bit as they're surely going to bring a few.

No chance Madine will start - he's not match fit yet, Sarll said as much after the game. Some fans will be ready to write him off if he's not in the right shape to make an impact.

Apparently his loan to Northampton fell through towards the end of the transfer window. Could have a very decent signing here if he was targeted for league 1 level

Exactly, give him 15 mins at the end if things are going well.

Dan Kemp was the last real Loan Signing (bar Armstrong of course) that i feel the fans fell in love with and would of bankrolled the signing of him themselves if they could have. I feel this kid will be the same. He doesnt come as just some half decent L1 player whos spent some time in the mens game or even a kid finding his feet at this level with signs of promise - hes literally on the cusp of playing in the premier league by all accounts and given he can do the business here, may find himself in the Palace first team come next summer ? Hes a star in their U21 side and i feel like DS and the team have pulled a master stroke in getting us a good player like this. He will be worth the wait and im sure Palace have told us he needs minutes. Maybe too soon for Saturday but id imagine a cameo off the bench. Madine wont and should not start as Mani D is due another goal and given we might start to play some football and link play better with Grey also looking shit hot, Madine would be wrong to be introduced again so soon. Hes still a few weeks off id say.

Tyler Burey is currently a free agent. Just been released by OB in Denmark. Be good to see him get his career back on track. He’s only 23.

Really hope he turns out to be the missing link in the jigsaw. Will all depend how he copes with actually being tackled for the first time in his career. A lot of skilful young lads can't handle it, and it's even more agricultural at this level.

Well if he's as brilliant as he's made out then surely he starts on Saturday.
Not a 20 mins run out when we down to 9/10 men again.

I hope he does play from the start but I suspect he will be on the bench with Madine. Because D.S. said he needs time to bed in. sctatchinghead

Well Sarlys got some major decisions to make from Saturday to Tuesday Boston away.

If this winless run extends to then.
It's most probably a Wednesday sacking.
Results business especially the way Raj is spoiling him.

We got the
Chairman
Players
Fans.

Time for Sarly to kick start the season with a winning run.
But this is Pools we're anything could happen.

UTP.

Can,t see why we can,t put togeather a run, Although Halifax will be difficult give very little away.
Boston really should be a banker.

interested to see what he plays

Expect it to be 4-3-3 with mid of Slog, Hunter and Sheron with front of Mani D, Campbell and Grey

Gives us Mancini, Madine and this new winger on the bench which looks stronger

Or he could put in new winger for Hunter and play 4 2 3 1 , but he said that sort of formation didnt work vs mighty Wealdstone

he does have options now so the excuses have to stop we've enough decent players to move beyond the lets just kick shit out of everything that moves and hope for a lucky bounce approach

Id I thought at the beginning of the season it would be the other 23 teams worrying about the mighty HUFC with all the so called top quality signings and Dodds n Mancini back.
Only 4 more games to the quarterly assessment.
Hopefully at least 10 pts added.

Hopefully again.
That jinx wordage.

What will be will be.

I'd say most of the teams we've played have set up to frustrate us, Braintree were even time wasting in the first half and against 10 men.
Down to us to find a way to open them up and get our creative players actually playing football instead of hoofball, we've shown in snatches even when a man short we're capable.
If he's going to continue with long ball then he needs to start Madine with Mani and drop Campbell.
Need to be taking minimum 7 points from next 3 games imo.

saturday is a must win game just to keep the crowd happy and not to see gates dropping even further. a win in style would be a big help and not a smash and grab or an early goal and defending for the rest of the game.

lad at work (Mackem fan) has been watching Pools the last few games (given we have been 10 men to the good in the last game) but he said that arguably our squad on paper with a manager who knows what he is doing is a League 2 side, half decent to quote. He said its clear we are playing like a None league side and being managed by a none league manager with no plan B. I couldnt agree more with him either. He said how we are not putting 3/4 past the likes of Wealdstone and Braintree is beyond him. Said a good footballing manager would get this lot firing. I like DS but agree he isnt really a tactician in the footballing sense of things. DC would have us top of the league easy with this lot ! He said its the best Pools team we have had even before the promotion team given the CV of some of our players etc... again i agree, i said we just dont know our best formation with this lot and it hasnt helped being 10 men in 2 games and also missing Parkes in that all important game when we went to shit.

If another one does come in that will mean Pools have a 25 man squad, not including any of the Academy lads except Stephenson. Bit different to how we started the season  But realistic considering the number of injuries and suspensions. At least we shouldn't struggle to fill a bench with reasonable options.

Agree we should expect more from the squad Sarll has assembled but the disciplinary issue is the biggest let down.

If Pools had kept 11 on the pitch in all 6 games, as a minimum we'd have beaten Braintree and not lost to Woking. The extra 3 points would have seen us joint 3rd with Barnet.

Teams tend to platy their best football when they get used to winning. I'm sure there's more to come from Pools - starting tomorrow?

This is exactly it.

If we had kept all 11 men on the pitch, we would definitely have beaten Woking, probably have beaten Braintree and may have beaten Southend too. So we would have had 3, 5 or 7 more points.

3 points would put us in joint 3rd. 5 more would put us joint top. 7 would have us 2 points clear at the top.

Stopping the stupidity is key, everything else is in a good place.

we have suffered a little bit of bad luck but more self inflicted wounds in games. manni d has typified our season up to now. played well but only one goal and not many other chances either compared to last season. surely even by now we had more players who have scored a goal last season than we have had this. we only needed an improvement on what we had last term and not a complete change which we have seen. thought some good signings we have made would have made this possible. apart from a coule of lads who have let the team down i feel the rest is on the manager and not the players.

i,d agree to a point especially about the stupidity. however we could easily have dropped points at tamworth and against wealdstone which evens things up a bit. struggling to score goals has killed us and makes us easy meat for teams looking to just draw games and even win if they take chances all teams get even with our good defence.

My point was only around what would have been different if we had 11 men on the field, not where we were lucky/unlucky to get something.

Campbell and Sheron have hit the woodwork a couple of times, and there have been a few great saves from Mani, so the luck works both ways and will continue to do so throughout the season.

But very simply, if Hunter and Waterfall hadn't been stupid enough to get themselves sent off, we would be sitting comfortably in the top 4 at least.

just lets hope that they,ll be our last sendings off for the season. if so i,m sure others will catch our number up and pass it before the season ends way the game is controlled now. a lot of this will be down to the manager himself and the discipline he has with the squad. just the same with all the cautions we are picking up also that need to be minimised.

Hopefully he's got a grip of it now, we only got one booking against Braintree, and that was Parkes. Maybe the penny is beginning to drop..

Boston really should be a banker.

halifax have always been a team where in the past we have done better at the vic against than at their place. thats with different players in both sides and these things crop up across the game.
