Technically this saturday should Dodds be fit enough to return to the starting 11 - we should have nigh on our strongest 11 available plus subs which we have not yet seen all season - this includes Hopefully Madine getting more minutes too.

Given Waterfall and Charman are out <<< hence the Nigh on...

If this illusive winger get signed and into the squad too, could well be the best hartlepool team we have had out at the Vic for a long time for me. (given the fact DS recruitment has been very good the lad should be decent for this level who ever it may be)

its good to get him back but feel the missing of charman down the left has hurt us more. dodds can improve us on the right but not affect for me the side we are the weakest on both in attack and defence the left.

According to Sarll yesterday, Dan's return is still 10 days away - so maybe the Ebbsfleet game? That means he'll have missed a month's worth of games. Just goes to show how rarely people bounce straight back from really bad injuries.

Charman might be back in 10 days too - quicker than the manager expected.

think both are on the side of caution though - i dont think either will start a game in 10 days time - be a rehab process slowly back in. Sounds like Charman even more so by the way DS was speaking. Hes obviously got a recurring thing (outside of this injury) so we need to be careful with him anyways by the sounds - Was talking to a lad at work who knows him from his Darlo days and laughed when i said hes on the sideline "get used to that" he said.

'Back' after any long injury means a place on the bench.

thought dodds was close to be coming back last saturday now its been put back for another 10 days. getting to the point of just forgetting he,s our player until the day comes he,s on the subs bench. lets have a poll to see who is back first. charman, dodds or wallace and which one is going to be this seasons lacey.

That's a bit harsh Accy- 'this seasons Lacey', surely not that injury prone!
I'll go Dodds, Chairman, Wallace, all to have been in the matchday squad by the end of October!

we,ll see. last season you can give him some slack by getting a freak injury but i for one will be watching closely how many games he will be available for. hasn,t charman also had periods out injured before he came to us. same with wallace who must have missed far more games than the ones he was available for selection.

It's a totally different injury with Dodds and not a reoccurrence of the acl problem. He had a good pre season playing almost every minute and then started the 1st couple of league games. Dont think he had injury problems before cominh here and hopefully he'll come back soon and play most of the remaining games.

Well that's a good starter for our predictions Charman on the bench.

Dodds back for for Ebbsfleet i heard. Charman i think will start tomorrow too.

Wallace, really dont see the lad getting much game time aslong as the others stay fit - wonder if we can convert the lad into a LB. If im honest id imagine he goes out on loan to hopefully get some match sharpness and we bring in 2 players not just the one quoted by DS on Saturday.

out of wallace, hunter and sheron surely there is one LB out of the three. trust any of them to defend better than fergy and his attacking part of the game is getting rarer and worse.

I'm sure Wallace was used at left back for Mansfield on occasion

Wallace would probably do a job at LB but dont think he would be an effective change for Fergy - more like for like tbh.

a dynamic quick LB with ability to cross the ball would really see us being an absolute force in this division (given we get the tactics right).
