On the news.
That ministers are looking to ban smoking in public spaces.
Eg: pub gardens
Schools
Sports venues.
Claiming breathing in 2nd hand smoke putting a massive cost on the NHS.

Controversial and anutha decision to divide the public from the Labour Party.

It was surprising how people very quickly complied when the indoor smoking ban was introduced.
IMO a lot of smokers want to stop and when they are "told" to stop they will.
Billy Connolly did a great piss take of smoking on stage once if anyone can remember it. He said about the growing of it shipping and rolling it and the punchline was then you put it in your mouth and set fire to it.

Very hard to police outside every school.
Riots police to film the parents.
Then smash their doors in later for 7 years in the Clinker.

All getting stupid now.
Some x policeman now a freedom for speech campaigner on TV news last night.
People are literally frightened to use their phones now incase they get a prison sentence.

And he stated that Starmer is still acting like a prosecuter where anyone who has a different opinion to him will more than likely go thru the courts.

Probably a fair few regretting voting Labour now

One of Connollys comments on the smoking ban was "whats next a special lane for drunk drivers"

you just stop going to places where you once smoked. i go through 4 packs a week. do i want to stop possibly yes but will i comply i i,m told to do. a big NO until they get a grip of drug dealers and bang up those who are on them first. totally sick of those in power who say you cannot do this or that or say anything against what they stand for. next they,ll be telling us what to wear next with a banning order at the vic if you wear the incorrect government footware. the end of the individual is nigh. first morning rant over.

Probably police it by getting people to grass each other, seems to becoming the norm.

I have never smoked but I think our World is getting more silly by the day. I am personally not against people smoking especially now its well under control already. This will close pubs and restaurants because the customers who smoke will stay away and the people who work at these establishments who smoke will probably leave. I would imagine some of the best chef's smoke due to the stress n strain of running the kitchen and others in other stressful jobs. It's well known that politicians have a smoking area but are they going to get banned aswell sctatchinghead Next it will be vapes then booze then meat. Where does all this stop sctatchinghead

Of course fuel duty will rise, they are trying to force people to buy electric cars and once they do they introduce a tax on them. Same as they did with diesel cars, we should all buy one more economical then make diesel more expensive than petrol.

Can't we just use the microchips that were implanted when we got our Covid vaccines or use the Killer 5G towers to sniff out smokers. Seems good use of thing that are already running the World

Loved the irony on the single deck buses of smoking being in the back half of the bus…..the smoke petrified to pass beyond rhe centre exit.
Trying to recall the East European airline who had smoking area’s on the right hand (starboard) side of the aisle.

All planes had smoking at the back as well. Pretty horrible though I smoked then. Those of us who smoked are reaping the benefits now and millions have died worldwide.Human nature is pretty wierd.

The most single minded, violent people who were against smoking were ex smokers.
Never even tried it, my Dad took up smoking in his early twenties when he docked in New York as he was sent to see a Doctor with his chest infection…the doctor advised him to take up smoking …..as it has a ‘antiseptic affect on germs.’ banghead

My mother in law had a stroke early 60s, she smoked, the doctor said it won’t make any difference if you stop now. He should have been around when she had a face mask and oxygen bottle and rolling about gasping for breath in her final few days before passing away, it was horrific to witness.

fine, but its like non car owners moaning about and coughing about cars on the road polluting where for one reason or another it does not bother a car owner when they walk about. vegans and veggies moan about meat eating but us meat eaters just eat the meats of choice but never mention the others. hate the smell of weed but its up to them to carry on or stop their way of a life you only have once.
