I think ‘Peter Reynolds’ wants to get a ‘sense of perspective’, talked about waste of a letter….like Bobby said it looked like one of those letters desperately boring piss take comments from the Viz letters page.

As if he's the only manager guilty, didn't Bill Shankly say "football is not life and death, it's much more important" - worthy of a letter to the Times I'd expect.

its a type of comment made by non football interested people make about the game. you cannot compare national disasters to a big problem thats happened in a game. would the writer only be happy if half our side was wiped out overnight to make that an important fact. if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere its important to you personally but not to the wider world but still a big thing in your life.
