Not bothered about predicting a score, but hope the crowd is 5K+ after 3 wins & no goals conceded.

No doubt Wealdstone will put 10 men behind the ball from the kick off and try to make it difficult for Pools, but it should be a home banker and a chance to score a few goals.

to do that it will mean about 900 extra poolies turning up on a bank holiday weekend as they will not bring many. its a big hope. saying that i do expect that number the week after if we are undefeated in the next two games with hopefully sloggett and madine being available for those who have seen neither in a pools shirt.

2-1

Law of averages says we have to concede at some point
This really is as close to a gimme as this league gets

More concerned how we manage the game 2 days later without picking up major injuries
It was this weekend last year everything turned to shit with dodds and Mancini crocked

Sarll has already said he'll rotate bodies to deal with that. Not that there's much scope for rotation up front, but the way things have been in the last week I wouldn't be surprised to see another forward brought in before Saturday - loan or short-term deal.

Madine might be just thrown into it - get him off the bench and give Mani D a rest on like 65 mins in both games.

according to York he played a behind the closed doors game for them and potted 3 ? so he is lets say Match available for a certain period. Take with it a pinch of salt as im sure the lad who told me was bitter as shit we got him and they didnt. But in all fairness York have been a good side this season and that Pearce they signed seems good money just now.

We do have the ability to say play Grey and Campbell up top with Mancini - Sheron - Hunter behind. This formation and even the one we play still cries out for a winger / pacey attacker - if we wanting to play long balls and drop balls in behind the defences then this sort of player is crucial - the lad last night for them was half decent and did his job well enough, thankfully he wasnt good enough to produce anything of real end product but you understand where i am coming from.

Wealdstone have an inexperienced manager in Matt Taylor who has played in the Prem. He's already coming under pressure from the Stones fans.

The benefit of having a Prem player you would have thought would be their connections. Unfortunately for them their loan signings are all disappointing.

They signed Sutton captain Craig Eastmond, a real shithouse but good player, who's injured.

They had a man sent off first game, who is still suspended for our game plus other injuries.

Adrian Mariappe has over 100 appearances in each of the championship and Prem but is 38 now and fans are hugely disappointed by him.

Taylor is post match interviews seeks to find positives, they are never well beaten, but do enough to just lose the game.

One of their fans is concerned that as soon as they go 1-0 down the opposing teams needs to sit back as their ability to score goals currently is non existent, even when they do get into goalscoring positions they don't have any quality or composure to finish the chance.

From our perspective we have Waterfall back and no new injury concerns. Sarll won't mess about, he will pick the best 11 to win the match. This game we should win, we will have to battle and work hard as Wealdstone are poor but don't roll over.

Sarll can't worry about Monday away to Woking, cross that bridge when we come to it. Beat Wealdstone and it takes the pressure off Woking away - another poor side, but a game that could really hurt us given what happened last season.

What happened last season is now utterly irrelevant, that was last season.

In the past Pools had a terrible record against the lesser teams but I believe that this group of players will put that right. Sarll has instilled a will to win which should result in a win, possibly hard fought.

2-0 home win, Mani D & Gray

just get saturday out of the way with a win hopefully without knocks to keep lads out for woking. woking also play saturday but there only plus is not having to travel a long journey the day after a game. surely those doing the fixtures could have given us and others games closer to them with 2 games in 3 days. the premier league managers would be in meltdown by asking their lovely boys doing what the non league lads have to do.

Campbell and Mani to get off the mark, a worldie from lovely Anthony, and Madine to make a cameo appearance and score a thumping header.

You make a good point  But it's not quite true this season because Raj has just been over for tea & slice of cake. And he told me the team will travel down in two of his luxury private hire jets from teesside on Monday lunchtime. Like Raj said " I don't want the manager / players to have any excuses not to win.

Can see us resting Parksy & Stephenson for Waterfall and freeman. Also One of Hunter or Sheron for the new lad from Derby and Mancini in for Campbell. If the " bulldozer Madine " is on the bench probably come on the last 30 minutes and give ManiD a break.

Yes I can see changes over the next couple
of games.
Sarll has said Robinson will play over the weekend,so I can see Sheron getting a rest.
And I’m sure Madine will be in the bench at Woking.

Assuming the starting 11 is the same (unlikely I know) we would have the following players available for the bench:

Smith
Onaraise
Waterfall
Freeman
Robinson
Wallace
Sloggett
Mancini
Madine
Plus the kids

Plenty of options there which is positive given the quick turnaround in games.

Personally I think Sarll will change as little as possible for Sat, he will play his strongest 11. There will likely be a handful of changes for Monday though.

need more options going fwd, though Madine is a welcome addition....would expect Feather is dropped for a more fwd/aggressive player given we are at home and the opposition
Wallace wont be anywhere near ready, and I will be surprised if Sloggett makes an appearance on the pitch across the weekend either

To be honest I'd prefer Mancini to be coming off the bench again. Two of the lads who had long term injuries last season - Dodds and Charman- are already out for longish spells again.

AM will do just fine as an impact sub while this 2 games in 3 days National League nonsense is going on.

I agree at the moment regarding Mancini injury wise etc. But Campbell has worked his balls off in every game although most of it defending and breaking up attacks.I would rest him and put him on the bench. sctatchinghead

I think that
Sarll will start with his best eleven against Wealdstone. After a goalless draw he has to give the fans something decent to cheer about. I predict at least a two goal win.

Reckon Sarly will play his strongest squad available every game.
But knows his style of play will result in injuries m suspensions.
The new 5 sub rule is the same for all teams but could well suit Pools.
Not really into these predictions of this n that game will be tough.
Best philosophy is let the opposition worry about the mightily HUFC.

The very fact we are debating this means we have a stronger squad and trust more players to do a job. Then we have the injuries clearing up and the big man to make his debut.

Waterfall and Mancini start. It's by no means a weak bench, just that there are no forwards on it...
